Project
• Project at CSIR-CFTRI (Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore) on
Preparation of Cereal Malt based Hydrolysate. (Ragi, Barley, Wheat).
Project Details:
Study has been done on enzymatic activation of (α) alpha and (β) Beta amylase during
Germination to produce required quality of Blend or end Product.
The objective of this Project is to optimize the concentration of malted barley flour to
blend with malted finger millet flour to obtain a hydrolysate of desirable properties. The
Suitability of using malted wheat flour with malted finger millet flour was also explored
and in addition to that the combination of malted flour from these three cereals to form a
malt hydrolysate was also evaluated.
• New product development Mixed Fruit Jam with special addition of Red Pumpkin
2012.(B.TEC 7th

• New product Pomogranate RTS with special addition of coconut water during World
Food Day Celebration 2010.
