II. Rationale
As the Department of Education continues to face challenges in ensuring the
continuity of education despite the closure of schools and learning centers, it has
adopted the use of multiple modalities in the delivery of instruction for this school year.
To protect the safety and health of all learners, teachers and parents, the department
considers the implementation of the distance learning platform where learners can
choose mode of instruction through modular and educational technology on online and
offline bases and the use of both radio- and TV-based instruction. The introduction of
these modes of instruction particularly on Radio and TV-based instruction was perceived
as a big problem of teachers and learners; hence, the School Division of Tabuk City
6. through the Curriculum Implementation Division proposes this Tabuk City Radio
Broadcasting Training-Workshop for the provision of corresponding training for teachers
and school leaders to produce RBI lessons.
I. Objectives
The goal of this in-service training is to prepare Radio Broadcasting Instruction
vis-à-vis the K to 12 Program. Specifically, it will seek to:
a. Equip teachers the needed skills on script writing for Aired lessons;
b. Equip teachers the needed skills in teaching on radio.
c. Record Radio Based Instruction; and,
d. Produce RBI for airing .
II. Project Description
Producing radio-based instruction is a very challenging and enormous task and
that it requires talented teachers in scriptwriting and live and recorded presentation on
radios. The Tabuk City Division training on RBI is an avenue where selected teachers
and school leaders are capacitated on the production of live and recorded lessons for the
Radio-based Instruction. Basically, these talents must undergo training on the
conversion of modules to interactive lessons, training on script writing and performing on
actual radio stations. Ultimately, the use of the radio as an instruction will reinforce,
expand, and enhance the lessons and will humanize distance education for learners to
better understand concepts read from the offline and modular bases.
III. Methodology
The division training-workshop will be disseminated through a memorandum.
There will be a presentation and discussion of topics, writeshop on DLL and DLP,
scriptwriting, modeling of demonstration teachers on radio, and the voice recording.
The timeline below will be used.
