This document summarizes several technologies that convert air pollution into useful products. It discusses Air Ink, which uses a device called Kaalink to capture carbon emissions from vehicles and chimneys and convert them into ink. It also describes Smog Free Towers created by Daan Roosegaarde that filter smog from the air and can produce diamonds from the captured carbon. The document provides details on how these technologies work and their goals of reducing air pollution.
5. AIR INK
The first ink made out of recycled air pollution.
Its overall purpose is to reduce the amount of particulate
matter in the air.
It mainly uses a device called
KAALNK which captures carbon
emissions from vehicles or
chimneys before it enters into
atmosphere.
6. HISTORY
Anirudh Sharma, founder of Gravity
Labs, first conceived the idea of Air
Ink in 2013.
In 2016, Air Ink products were
commercially available to graphic
artists.
7. HOW DOES IT MADE?
Kaalink, a device that, once placed on exhaust pipes, captures
pollutants.
Its a mechatronic system which consists of electrostatic filtration,
depth filtration, wall flow filtration etc..to filter soot.
The final product called carbon is then mixed with different types of
oils and solutions to form inks and paints.

10. FEATURES
Every 45 min worth of car emissions- 30 ml of ink.
600 ml spray- holds the equivalent of 2000 hrs of
pollution.
Kaalink can even fit over the polluting mouths of boats,
chimneys and cranes.
It not only stops co2 gas enter into air but also captures a
dangerous carbon soot called PM 2.5
P.M Particulate matter
2.5 size of particle in microns
Each device can collect up to 95% of pollutants.
11. SMOG FREE TOWER
Daan Roosegaarde, the innovator of smog free project.
He created 23 feet(7 m) tall air cleaning “smog free tower”
It is like a huge electronic vacuum cleaner that suck in
smog and clean the atmosphere.
Smog mainly consists of carbon,
from which we can make diamonds.
13. FEATURES
The first tower, called kickstarter is constructed in
Rotterdam.
One tower will clean 3.5 million cubic meter of air per
day--- 3500 diamond rings.
It can purify 30,000 cubic meter of air in 1 hr using only
30w of power.
Each diamond ring will clean 1km of polluted air.
14. CARBON NANO TUBES
Carbon Nano Tube is a tube shaped
material made of carbon.
These are formed from graphite
sheet.
Its thickness is 1/50000th of
human hair.
It is 300 times stronger than steel and is flexible and
stiffest.
It has more conductivity than copper.
Thermal conductivity is also more.
15. CONCLUSION
These are most creative pollution capturing technologies to
save our planet.
Air ink is a cheaper alternative to make inks and paints.
Eco friendly and safe.
“The more ink in the page, the less pollution in
our lungs”
