3. WHAT IS GENDER INEQUALITY?
* Gender inequality refers to unequal treatment or perception of
individtuals based on their gender.

6. INEQUALITY IN HEALTH
Bangladesh has achieved progress in health sector and has been successfull in rising the
average life expectation of its population. However, the situation of female health is still poor.

7. INEQUALITY IN EDUCATION
The percent of the literate children also various according to the gender.
According to UNESCO, the male literacy rate is 75.7% and for female it
was 70.09% in last year.

8. INEQUALITY IN EMPLOYMENT
There exists an immense inequality between the male and female in Bangladesh as far as
employment status is concerned. However, although there are some progresses in the recent
years but it is still low than that of expected

9. DISCRIMINATION AND VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
Violence in Bangladesh ranges from:
• Acid throwing
• Physical and psychological torture
• Sexual harassment
• Sexual assault
• Rape

• We have to ensure “Education for All”
• Early marrige should be stopped
• We have to create social awarness about gender inequality
• We should control population problem
• And the main thing is we have to change our mind
