Improvements to make for my final edit task 3
1. Improvements To Make For My Final EditLydia Cooke
Now I have completed my rough edit of my music video, I have took time to
evaluated and consider the improvement I should make to make my music
video better quality and professional. I have noticed a few things that I could
change to achieve better music video on a whole. As I watched my music
video through, I realised the ending wasn’t very good, the video would quickly
cut off with the sound ending in an automatic stop. To improve this I shall
make the music fade out slowly, so it will become quitter until it is no longer
heard. I think this would be a good idea to include as it adds to the quality of
the music video. Also I spotted a few errors of the positioning of footage.
There was two pieces of footage that was in the wrong place, and did not
make sense where they were in terms with the instruments and singing. This is
an improvement I will have to make to make my video’s narrative make sense
so my audience will understand the music video, I will re - position the footage
or choose other suitable pieces of footage. As I was putting together my music
video I found it hard to position the singing in the song in the correct place, so
it would look as if the artist in the song was the person in the shot. In the end I
finally put it in a position where it looked ok. My group considered re – filming
some shots as they weren’t the best, but finally we came to a conclusion that
we could work with the footage we already shot, and could make it look the
best as we possibly can, to a professional quality. I considered removing the
black and white effect I have throughout the video too see if it would look
good, but I personally think it creates a more relaxed and calm effect. It also
takes away attention from some of the shots that are not 100%.
Once I have made these improvements I think my final music video will look a
lot better quality, and show my understanding of creating a professional music
video.
