Jasmine McNeil evaluates her documentary film project. She notes several positives, including improvements in her editing skills using Premiere Pro. Her transitions between some clips worked well, and she was able to reduce background noise in interviews. Footage she shot turned out better quality than expected. However, there was too much stock footage used due to a lack of original footage. For her resubmission, she plans to shoot more original footage to replace stock footage and add more credibility. Overall she is pleased with her skills considering her limited experience with video editing software.

Evaluation
From watching my final form of
documentary I notice there are some
thing that need to be improved upon but
there are many positives that have come
from it as well.
I am very impressed with my editing skills
as I have not been editing for very long
and have toughly improved my technical
skill through out of this documentary.
One positive I noticed was my skills to
editing some of the video together, I was
able to create sequences where the
transition was very good for someone
with my skills and knowledge of premier
pro. I do need to work on my transitions
skills due to some clips not merging how
I wanted or you can easily see the

Another positive I noticed from my
documentary was the audio, as in the
beginning of editing I noticed that the
interview audio was very loud and had an
annoying humming due to a fan begin
heard in the room. I was impressed that I
could figure out how I could make the
noise less heard and not distracting from
the interview, In post you can hardly hear
it.
Another positive would be my own
footage I shoot, I was thinking in the final
edit that it would not be as nice of quality
and looked to Shakey due to me holding
the camera but it seems like I was able
to editing certain parts, but it turned out
very well.

3. A negative on my documentary is that
there is too much stock footage, as I did
not have much footage to begin with and
was not able to get certain clips I had to
resort to gathering different clips to use in
my documentary.
I have been told that it devalues my work
and all my hard work does not show as
much due to the footage so for my
resubmission I have decided that I will get
more footage in order to get rid of the
stock footage and have more creditability
for the documentary.
I believe I could have found a better type
of music over the documentary as it does
suit the theme of it but I thinks its too sad
and I wanted a more serious tune but I

In the Documentary I could also improved on by
adding my own voice also as the “voice of god” so
I would be able to create my expository
documentary but due to time restraints and not
having access to the studio set my plan back,
eventually I could not record it and add it in. I will
try and do this for my resubmission so there is
more audio and not just filled in by back up music.
Overall I believe my documentary is very good
considering I only started to use premier pro in the
last months of last year and did not know much
about how it worked. I understand that I need to
improve and what I need to improve on more for
my resubmission. I am very impressed with my
level of editing and filming skills due to not
knowing how a camera works.
