INTRODUCTION
Hoa Binh is a mountainous province of Viet Nam, the economy still remains
difficult. However, along with the country’s development, Hoa Binh has become a
vibrant city. Especially, in current years, industrialization and modernization of Viet
Nam are having important steps in development. Therefore, applying scientific and
technology achievements in production, business is very important. Besides, education
has always been the interest, investment of Hoa Binh province. Thus, Hoa Binh
College of Economics and Technologyis one of the two keys of Hoa Binh. With the
process of foundation and development, Hoa Binh College of Economics and
Technology proudly educate dynamic, creative students who serve for the
industrialization and modernization of the province and the country.
Fortunately, with the permission of college’s administrators, Mr. Giang Quoc
Nam, I have an opportunity to work and practice at Hoa Binh College of Economics
and Technology. I can develop my English skills, soft skills when practicing at English
groups, cooperating with English teachers, students and develop my specialized
activities which will help me have more chances to find jobs after graduating.

CHAPTER 1- GENERAL INFORMATION OF HOA BINH ECONOMY AND

- Mission of the college: Hoa Binh College of Economics and Technology, a center
educating multi fields, multi levels, high quality, adaptable to the development of
society, meet the economy of the socialist orientation and international integration.
- The vision of the college by 2020:
+ From 2011 to 2015:
Upgraded from Hoa Binh Economy-Techno highschool to Hoa Binh College of
Economics and Technology.
Facilities: focus on renovating, upgrading lecture halls, building dormitories,
laboratories, practicing, scientific researching areas and national defenceeducation.
About Teachers: Increase the number of the college’s career teachers and
lecturers to 122 and insure that this number accounts for above 80% of total
employees. I addition, 45-50% of them must have Bachelor Degree and 3-7% must
have Doctor Degree. In 2015, the college had total of 150 career employees.
About training: expanding dimension, college specialized education, formal
and short-term TCCN: Specialized education from 07 to 13; The number of students
from 1.080 to 1.700; The number of students: 1260 students
+ From 2015 to 2020:
Facilities: Built areas for administrators , working housesand teaching halls for
agriculture and forestry branches.
About teachers: Increase the number of the college’s career teachers and
lecturers to 150 and insure that this number accounts for above 80% of total
employees. In addition, 60-70% of whom must have Bachelor Degree and 7-10% must
have Doctor Degree. In 2020, the college has total of 180 career employees.

students was 1.700; The number of students from 1260 to 2475.
1.1.1. The forming and developing process of the college
Hoa Binh College of Economics and Technology has the precursor of Hoa Binh
Forestry Worker School, which was established in 1974, and upgraded to Hoa Binh
Economic and Technical College by 2015. Over 40 years of development, the school
has a long history in training human resources for Hoa Binh province in particular, for
neighboring provinces in general.
1.1.2. Funtion and duty
Training of colleges and intermediate schools, training of undergraduate and
master's degrees (associated with other universities) and fostering knowledge of
diploma and certificate granting.
Ensuring the quality of training industries, providing quality human resources
for agencies, unions, armed forces, administrative and non-business units, commercial
production and business companies, establishments communes, wards and towns in
Hoa Binh province; carrying out high-level human resource training projects with
domestic and foreign units

enterprises of the country and also ASEAN;

Administrator: Include: The principaland deputy principal, The Principal is the
legal representative of the College, responsible for directly managing and
administering the University's activities in accordance with the law. The Deputy
Principal is the assistant of the Principal, assigned by the Principal in charge of one or

University to enhance the effectiveness of management, assurance and quality of
teacher’s education and training of the University. Organize self-inspection and
inspection under the management scope of the University in accordance with the law
on inspection; ensuring that the school operates under the law and implementing the
legal principles.
Training Department - PSHV: Advise to help the Principal set up plans and
implement the enrollment program, train the vocational training system,
interconnection classes. Building, managing and organizing the implementation of
teaching and learning activities of the school.
Continuing education center: Advising, managing and organizing the
implementation of short-term enrollment, linking, connecting and training locations.
Coordinate with the implementation of formal enrollment; Advise to help the Principal

1.3. Working environment
Hoa Binh Economic and Technical College is equipped with modern equipment
with classrooms equipped with loudspeakers and projectors for teaching purposes; The
library is fully equipped with reading rooms, computer rooms, book stores; materials
and teaching materials are regularly updated with new ones; Fire protection system is
guaranteed.
Teachers and employees in the school ensure appropriate qualifications. 80% of
lecturers have master's degrees and 20% have university degrees. The coordination
between the departments, departments and faculties is good, people are united and help
each other at work. Therefore, when I went to practice at the school, I received the
attention and enthusiastic advice of the instructors at the campus, in addition to the
attention and help from everyone in the school. The friendly and solid working
environment helps me feel comfortable expressing my ability during the internship.

CHAPTER 2- INTERN JOB DESCRIPTION
2.1. Assignment
When training at Hoa Binh College of Economics and Technology. I was
assigned 1)Supervised and worked as office staff; 2) Carrying out the professional
tasks at the school's foreign language team. As I have said:
Supervised and worked as officer: I was assigned to supervising at Students Affairs
Department two days a week, included: listening the phone, making photocopies ,
typing document, receive the questions of students and parents about policy issues and
movement; Internal and
dormitory of the students.
Carrying out professional tasks at the school's foreign language team: I was
assigned an administrative position and worked as an assistant to the English teacher
of the foreign language group, the work included: translating English documents,
reading textbooks and materials related to the basic English module lesson 1, helping
English teachers coordinate students in the lesson related to pronunciation, listening
and checking homework; Help HSSV when they do not understand the lesson or have
questions.

CHAPTER 3- RESULTS FROM INTERSHIP
3.1 . My thought about the college
During the time training at Hoa Binh College of Economics and Technology, I
accumulated for myself many experiences. I have opportunity to train my
communication skills, teamwork skills, office skills (type, make photocopy, paper
management,…), translation and interpretation skills.
Besides the friendliness and ardour of everyone in this school, the environment
where I train has clear rules and strict discipline. When making mistakes, I was
reminded and redo the assignment as required. That things have made me know that I
need to work more professionally.
3.2. Difficulties from internship
3.2.1. Specialized issues
I don’t know how to arrange time and work properly. When I was assigned
many tasks at the same time, I will easily get confused. In addition, when I first
entered the internship school, I was not brave enough in communicating, so I also had
difficulty in contacting the school administration. My experience in managing HSSV
is very little, therefore, when I was assigned the task of managing students to promote
football, I was confused and couldn’t arrange students in the correct order. I also had
trouble working in groups with students. However, these problems have been fixed by
me during the later period.
3.2.2.Personal issues
I have a habit of getting up late, this is a bad habit and affects my internship. To
fix it, I had to set an alarm twice in the morning. Due to the distance from my home to
my working place, my evening travel problem is limited, so every time there is a
cultural show or evening activity with students, it’s a difficult issue.
3.3. Achievements from practice
3.3.1. Knowledge
a. Increase knowledge at the University
During my internship at the Foreign Language Group of Hoa Binh Economic
and Technical College, I can apply all of my knowledge and skills to reality. I was able
to attend English teacher’s teaching hours, talk, communicate with students in English

and support classroom coordinators. These jobs require me to constantly learn, apply
knowledge and experience learned in the university to process. I think this is very
beneficial for my future.
b. Learn practical knowledge
Through practice, I found that studying in university lecture hall is only a
theory, practice in real life has a particularly important role. When I practice, I know
how to plan a project, connect the resources to implement that project and when
implementing the project, I have to try my best to overcome difficulties to perform
well. When I made it, although it was a small jobs, I felt so happy.
3.3.2. Skills
a. Speaking skills
During the internship, I have to communicate quite a lot, both communicating
with teachers, school staff, and communicating with students. . Communication skills
using Vietnamese and English are significantly improved. First, when I worked at the
Student Affairs Department, I had to communicate a lot with students. I have to know
how to apply the knowledge and ability to get questions and make an appointment to
respond or simple sentences that can answer their questions, also, I have learned how
to listen to and fulfill the requirements. When i‘m in my English lessons, I have to
communicate with English teachers and students, which requires English. I
coordinated the class, instructed the students to fulfill the teacher's requests, supported
them to work in groups. According to the assignment, I had to teach 01 lesson in
English, even though I had rehearsed, but when I stood on the platform, I was still very
shaky. However, thanks to the training process, my ability to use English and speaking
skills to students, my job has improved.
b. Teamwork skills
In the process of guiding students to work in groups, I have learned
perseverance, solidarity to achieve the desired results. Some students did not cooperate
and were uncomfortable during group work, I met privately and talked with them. In
addition, I also made myself a member of the team by always following, supporting
and giving suggestions for students to solve difficult exercises.

In the process of interacting with my English teacher, I always listen to what the
teacher asks me to support, how to coordinate the class to accomplish the assigned
task. When working with students, I listened to questions, difficult situations to
support. When I first practiced, I was surprised and often missed the main content to
listen, then I overcome this error by always carrying a notebook and pen to be ready to
record important content. In addition, sometimes there are English words I can hear
but have not been identified, I ask again or write down to then look up the dictionary.
Thanks to the actual contact process, I felt that my listening skills were better than
before.
d. Compilation skills
Besides class, I was assigned to translate an English document into Vietnamese.
The document is 15 pages long. At first, my translation language was not elaborated,
English teacher in English team asked me to retranslate it. By the second time,
everything was better. I realized that when translating, we have to pay attention to the
context of the full text, not just the sentence or the words in that translation. In
addition, translation helps me to be more persistent and understand more about
American culture.
e. Office equipment skills
During my internship, I learned how to use office equipment, such as
photocopiers, printers, computers, book binding and document layout. This job is not
difficult, but requires attention, if you don’t want to be confused. I think these are the
basic skills needed in the future, so serious learning is required.

CONCLUSION
During my internship at Hoa Binh College of Economics and Technology, I had
the opportunity to practice my English knowledge and skills and learn from everyone's
experiences.
First, in terms of knowledge, I have learned more practical knowledge to complement
the theoretical knowledge I have learned on the lecture hall. The actual collisions are
valuable experiences that will help me in my job application and future career
development.
Secondly, in terms of skills, I think my communication skills, English
vocabulary are improved and better. Despite the difficulties, with the help of everyone
in the school, I have successfully completed the assigned task. Other basic skills such
as teamwork, listening, reading, and translation are significantly better. The working
environment with students makes me feel younger, more active, need more effort.
Overall, I realized that students should be more experienced. My knowledge at
university is not enough for my job. Experience is very important. I have a wider view
of my future work and many useful things for me when I work there. Five weeks is too
short, I don't have enough work experience. Anyway, the interference gives me a lot of
available skills like soft skills, communication skills ... These experiences will help me
a lot for my job when I graduate.
Once again, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Hai Phong
University, my instructors, Mr. Phan Thanh Nam and Mr. Giang Quoc Nam, who gave
me a valuable opportunity to discuss in depth, suggestions and useful reviews for
preparing and completing this report. Finally, I completed my internship.

My thought about the college During the time training at Hoa Binh College of Economics and Technology, I accumulated for myself many experiences. I have opportunity to train my communication skills, teamwork skills, office skills (type, make photocopy, paper management,…), translation and interpretation skills. Besides the friendliness and ardour of everyone in this school, the environment where I train has clear rules and strict discipline. When making mistakes, I was reminded and redo the assignment as required. That things have made me know that I need to work more professionally. 3.2. Difficulties from internship 3.2.1. Specialized issues I don’t know how to arrange time and work properly. When I was assigned many tasks at the same time, I will easily get confused. In addition, when I first entered the internship school, I was not brave enough in communicating, so I also had difficulty in contacting the school administration. My experience in managing HSSV is very little, therefore, when I was assigned the task of managing students to promote football, I was confused and couldn’t arrange students in the correct order. I also had trouble working in groups with students. However, these problems have been fixed by me during the later period. 3.2.2.Personal issues I have a habit of getting up late, this is a bad habit and affects my internship. To fix it, I had to set an alarm twice in the morning. Due to the distance from my home to my working place, my evening travel problem is limited, so every time there is a cultural show or evening activity with students, it’s a difficult issue. 3.3. Achievements from practice 3.3.1. Knowledge a. Increase knowledge at the University During my internship at the Foreign Language Group of Hoa Binh Economic and Technical College, I can apply all of my knowledge and skills to reality. Learn practical knowledge Through practice, I found that studying in university lecture hall is only a theory, practice in real life has a particularly important role. When I practice, I know how to plan a project, connect the resources to implement that project and when implementing the project, I have to try my best to overcome difficulties to perform well. When I made it, although it was a small jobs, I felt so happy. 3.3.2. Skills a. Speaking skills During the internship, I have to communicate quite a lot, both communicating with teachers, school staff, and communicating with students. . Communication skills using Vietnamese and English are significantly improved. First, when I worked at the Student Affairs Department, I had to communicate a lot with students. I have to know how to apply the knowledge and ability to get questions and make an appointment to respond or simple sentences that can answer their questions, also, I have learned how to listen to and fulfill the requirements. When i‘m in my English lessons, I have to communicate with English teachers and students, which requires English. I coordinated the class, instructed the students to fulfill the teacher's requests, supported them to work in groups. According to the assignment, I had to teach 01 lesson in English, even though I had rehearsed, but when I stood on the platform, I was still very shaky. However, thanks to the training process, my ability to use English and speaking skills to students, my job has improved. b. Teamwork skills In the process of guiding students to work in groups, I have learned perseverance, solidarity to achieve the desired results. Some students did not cooperate and were uncomfortable during group work, I met privately and talked with them. In addition, I also made myself a member of the team by always following, supporting and giving suggestions for students to solve difficult exercises. c. Listening skills

When working with students, I listened to questions, difficult situations to support. When I first practiced, I was surprised and often missed the main content to listen, then I overcome this error by always carrying a notebook and pen to be ready to record important content. In addition, sometimes there are English words I can hear but have not been identified, I ask again or write down to then look up the dictionary. Thanks to the actual contact process, I felt that my listening skills were better than before. d. Compilation skills Besides class, I was assigned to translate an English document into Vietnamese. The document is 15 pages long. At first, my translation language was not elaborated, English teacher in English team asked me to retranslate it. By the second time, everything was better. I realized that when translating, we have to pay attention to the context of the full text, not just the sentence or the words in that translation. In addition, translation helps me to be more persistent and understand more about American culture. e. Office equipment skills During my internship, I learned how to use office equipment, such as photocopiers, printers, computers, book binding and document layout. This job is not difficult, but requires attention, if you don’t want to be confused. I think these are the basic skills needed in the future, so serious learning is required.

First, in terms of knowledge, I have learned more practical knowledge to complement the theoretical knowledge I have learned on the lecture hall. The actual collisions are valuable experiences that will help me in my job application and future career development. Secondly, in terms of skills, I think my communication skills, English vocabulary are improved and better. Despite the difficulties, with the help of everyone in the school, I have successfully completed the assigned task. Other basic skills such as teamwork, listening, reading, and translation are significantly better. The working environment with students makes me feel younger, more active, need more effort. Overall, I realized that students should be more experienced. My knowledge at university is not enough for my job. Experience is very important. I have a wider view of my future work and many useful things for me when I work there. Five weeks is too short, I don't have enough work experience. Anyway, the interference gives me a lot of available skills like soft skills, communication skills ... These experiences will help me a lot for my job when I graduate.
