ACHIEVEMENTS
Ellis Park Stadium • In 1995, I was requested by the SARFU-elected
tournament director of the Rugby World Cup to assist
him with the operations and logistics related to the
event, which attracted over one million spectators and
was broadcast to over two billion televisions viewers.
• Successfully developed, co-ordinated and managed the
marketing, promotions and operations of the following
events:
Concerts including Midnight Oil, Sting,
Roxette, Phil Collins, Rolling Stones, Luther
Vandross, Janet Jackson.
Soccer including Local PSL matches,
Rothmans Cup Challenge, Nike Brazil World
Tour Match, Nelson Mandela Challenge, FIFA
Invitational Match.
Rugby including M-Net Night Series Matches,
Bankfin Currie Cup Matches, 1995 World
Cup Rugby Matches, Tri-nations test
matches, Rugby Super 12 Series.
• Successfully sourced, negotiated and managed
sponsorship agreements for the Golden Lions Rugby
Union and the South African Rugby Football Union. I
concluded major and supplier sponsorships with various
reputable entities including Mercedes Benz, Xerox, Mr
Price, SAA, SAB, SuperSport, Energade, Nokia, GSM,
Hallmark Motors, Canterbury Clothing, Citizen, Southern
Sun, Nike SA and Nike International.
• As part of the executive management team, I was
involved in establishing a financially profitable group
within the sporting, entertainment and venue
management sector, with turnover in excess of R60M
per annum and a growth in profit from R13M in 1995
(excluding the Rugby World Cup) to R20M in 1999.
• Devised highly successful multimedia marketing and
advertising strategies as part of a restructuring process,
to align with changing socio-political and cultural
development.
LLG International (Pty) Ltd • Established Ballito Manor Luxury Boutique Hotel on
KZN North Coast in 2002.
• Appointed as Project Director in 2005 to redevelop
Ballito Manor Boutique Hotel to an Exclusive Luxury
Apartment Complex with a total sales value of R326
million.
• Successfully established and launched Louis Luyt
Breweries as Micro Brewery facility in KZN.
