2. Cross Media Platforms
Our music video is represented through the music video itself and the two
ancillary tasks - a magazine advert and a website. The combination of products
raises awareness of our brand / artist and work in synergy with one another to
create something bigger.
3. Brand Identity - Typography
We created brand identity by using the same
typography across our music video and other
ancillary tasks. We discovered that using font
consistently helps establish an easily
recognisable identity for an audience and artist.
We used the font ‘Norwester’ across all titles on
both our magazine advert and website, through
this we have created a synergy so that audiences
can clearly see that through the three different
media forms there is an association with a single
product.
4. Photo Synergy
We have further synergy through images and
photos of artists, so that different audiences
can be clearly associated with the different
media products related to a single music
video.
I used this image of my protagonist which was
taken during our photoshoot for my website
and advert. This ensures that my artist will be
immediately recognisable, as well as her
clothes, makeup and overall aesthetic
5. Challenges
When creating our brand identity, Grace and I faced a challenge. Once we had
created our album advert on ‘Canva’ with the font that we definitely wanted to
use, we went to create our website. We used website creation software - ‘Wix’.
We tried to find the font ‘Norwester’ on Wix, when we realised it wasn't on there.
We decided we had to download it from the internet.
