2. Process
I created the start screen for my
game which stays on for 5 seconds
to helps make my game look more
realistic. I made the design of the
start screen look similar to that of
games like the original legend of
zelder or mega man.
3. Process
I layed out the foundation of the
map for my game. I also created the
playable character as well as the
room you start the game in. I made
the enemy in the first room look
like the basic slime enemy that is in
the beginning of every RPG game.
4. Process
I made the boss of my game
hard to kill in which you have
to fight it of as well as deal with
fire balls. As well I made the
boss appear from a trap door
at the end of the room in the
game, I also made it so the
door to the room closes when
you enter the room so you end
up trapped until you beat the
boss.
5. Process
The boss of the game was made
to be hard to beat. As well as it
was made to have variety. So not
only does the boss hit you to
attack you it also shoots fire balls
to damage you. Which makes it
hard to hit the boss when it is at a
longer range, which adds a
challenge to the game.
6. Process
When making my game I used
Photoshop to create the map,
enemies and characters. I mainly
uses the pensile tool with it set to
one pixel to give my game a retro
look. I also used the timeline setting
to make my game come to life
which made it look better. When
adding the music I used premiere
which gave it abetter effect.
