2. Process
The first day in production for my big lez video
game was interesting, this is when I started
creating the characters and animations for them.
I had to create around 6 /7 different angles of the
characters for the movement of them to look
realistic and believable. I had to make them from
scratch and make decisions on what pixels would
translate to the different angles of the characters.
3. Process
During the start of the week I continued in making
and adapting the characters walking animations,
the first background I made was a well known
place in the show, big Lez's house so i had spend a
lot of time on this to make it look as close as
possible to the real thing. Obviously i had to adapt
it into the 8 bit workspace but I think I made it
relatively believable and recognisable.
4. Process
I started animating the first scene of the game
after the first couple of days and it was tricky to
get the hang of it. It was very repetitive but when
you get the hang of it I could do it faster and then
I also got the hang of resolving problems when
you'd create a new layer far down the animation
and before you start doing things to it you go
back to the first slide and make it invisible and
then make it visible in the slide i selected at first.
5. Process
Once I got the hang of creating scenes and
animation I felt confident i could quickly create
new ones like Donnys shop and the inside of it. I
did this in productive time, creating and animating
the whole Donny's shop scene took me around 3
hours plus a bit extra perfecting it.
6. Process
The last scene was a shootout between the main
characters in the game and the choomahs. As I
thought it would be difficult to animate a fight
scene I adapted it so to defeat the choomahs you
had to ''tap A rapidly'' which created the sense of a
realistic game. After the characters finish shooting
the main big choomah, Brutus, was left with many
bullet wholes and falls over comically.
