Seasoned professional with 20+ years experience in the retail industry; ranging from sales associate, to store setup
associate to supervisory roles. Since 1996, I have worked for The Home Depot, the world's leading hardware retail
chain. Starting in Chicago, I began as an electrical department associate and was promoted within 6 months to
department supervisor. When the opportunity came to help open a new location, I was on board to gain the
experience and knowledge to further my career. After 18 months with the companyI saw the chance to do something
exciting and was chosen to help setup and establish The Home Depot as a company in Puerto Rico. I was key in
helping to lay out and choose the product line up for the first store to open in the Caribbean. I was present and
helped negotiate key terms and conditions for various vendors which led to the store earning record sales not only
locally but within the company. Since then I continued to work for Home Depot and was part of the initial
managementteam for 3 of the 8 stores in Puerto Rico.Over the course ofthose years I gained knowledge not only in
retail but in networking, SAP, as well as leaderships skills which emphasize teamwork which would make me an
asset to any company.
