2. Setting up the page
Firstly I started by creating the double
page spread with the correct
dimensions so that I can have to pages
both with two columns each
3. Adding and placing the image and headline
Next I began to add the main
image that will spread across
the two pages and started to
look where I would want to
place it.
After that I then moved on to
the headline and getting my
idle placement and checking
to see if the font works
correctly.
4. Adding a background
After getting my placement
for the image and headline I
then moved on to getting a
background for my magazine,
after going through many
designs and colours I decided
to settle own on this plain
light blue background as I
believed it made my font and
image stand out on the page
more than the other ones.
5. Pull quotes and conventions
After the background I then moved
on to the pull quotes, I decided to
use the same font as headline and
I thought it really stands out on
the page. Once decided on a font I
decide on what they would be and
where to position them.
After the pull quotes I thought of
what other conventions I needed
and then I added them so I added
page numbers on the pages for
consumers use.
6. Adding the article
Once I settled down on
placements I decided to type
in my article, I used a
wrapping tool so hat it would
wrap around my image as
well as on my pull quotes but
I pushed the border on my
pull quotes so that the text
wasn’t so close to help them
stand out on that page more.
