2. In this globalization era information systems greatly affect the lifestyle of the world community even for
education. Unlike the past, Technology is very influential in aspects of human life and plays a role in the life
of the wider community, especially the role of technology in the field of education. In education itself
technology now has its own role in the teaching and learning process. (Setiawati, 2018)
so, in this era Whether or not you like it or not, everyone has to keep up with the times using the technology
especially in education. So many uses of information systems in education are intended to record students
archiving important files and to assist online learning processes such as creating e-learning applications
And then there’s some definition of information systems according to experts:
(1) A set of people, procedures, and resources that collects, transforms, and disseminates
information in an organization.
(2) A system that accepts data resources as input and processes them into information products as output.
(O'Brien, 2003)
An information system is a social system, which has embedded in it information technology. The extent
to which information technology plays a part is increasing rapidly. But this does not prevent the overall
system from being a social system, and it is not possible to design a robust, effective information system,
incorporating significant amounts of the technology without treating it as a social system. (Magalhães, 1999,
p. 6)
An automated or manual collection of people, machines, and/or methods to gather, process, transmit, and
disseminate data. Information systems are used to acquire, store, manipulate, manage, display, transmit, or
receive data. It includes both hardware and software. (Gray, 2006)

3. The reason why I want to choose Information system as my major are, To develop my talents and interests
in technology, especially in the field of information systems and teach many people, including in the field of
education the fact is the quality of education in Indonesia today is very sad. This is proven, by UNESCO
data (2000) on the ranking of the Human Development Index, namely the composition of the rankings of
educational achievement, health, and income per head which shows, that Indonesia's human development
index is declining. Among 174 countries in the world, Indonesia ranks 102nd (1996), 99th (1997), 105th
(1998), and 109th (1999). (Putra, 2014)
then in the fact that Data from BPS shows the percentage of internet use among students increased from
previously only 33.98 percent in 2016 to 40.96 percent in 2017. So, what do students do when surfing in
cyberspace? Obligations to do school work turned out to encourage students to use the internet outside
school hours with a percentage reaching 72 percent. In addition, active social media was the reason for
school-age children using the internet after school by 71.31 percent. Information reading activity actually is
below 60 percent with only 53.66 percent. (Putera, 2019)
Based on these facts And in the midst of a lot of news about the covid-19 which requires students to
study at home I want to make an application that can attract the attention of Indonesian students to learn
more, and of course free applications and there Indonesian students prefer to play mobile phones so I
decided to pursue the Android field. so that I understand how to create applications on Android itself Even
now, So when it's an emergency situation like now students can use my application to study online
I have started to study Android studio little by little because learning about Android will not be a loss
and has many advantages.
