4. A Different Approach
It will help in
maintaining
the ground
water level in
that area
Impact
The unfit
water should
be collected
in a tank
through
which it can
seep through
the ground
What should be
done
After
treatment
of
water,75%
is
considered
unfit and
poured
down in
sewer line

5. Dustbin Yojna
Present
• Dustbins are installed but in small numbers
• The installed dustbins are not used efficiently
• Garbage collected is dumped on large areas of fertile land and river
banks
What should
be done
• The number of installed dustbins should be increased
• Awareness should be spread among the common
• The number of municipal sweepers should be increased and they
should be provided with perks and incentives for their work efficiency
Impact
• The more the dustbins the lesser the litter
• Awareness will lead to optimum utilization of the installed dustbins
• Employment will increase in municipal sector leading to a cleaner

6. Households and Public
Dustbins
Separation Zone
Organic Waste
It is fed to dumping pits
which are then covered
The waste will be decomposed
and converted into manure
which in turn will convert
barren land to fertile
Inorganic Waste
It is fed to incinerators where
it is separated, crushed and
burnt to generate heat
This heat can be used to
generate electricity
Best Out of Waste
7. Lets do it the new way!!!
Present
• The water from
the wash basin
is drained into
sewer line and
is thus wasted
Our approach
• We will filter
this water with
a scum resistant
filter which will
be collected in
the flush tank
and then be
used in toilets
Impact
• This set-up will
save a lot of
water which
can be used for
other suitable
purposes
