A new Regulatory body to enhance the capacity of
human resources

Team Details
The lack of the quality of Human resources poses a big
threat to universalizing the acess to primary healthcare
 Despite the good training and experience the human
resources such as Doctors, nurses, accredited social
health activists they are not in a position to extend
their services due to lack of a regular monitoring
body.
Causes of the problem
 There is no evaluation of the services of the
concerned persons of healthcare from the top to
bottom. Meanwhile they become idle and disoriented.
 Since it is the medical practitioners and their staff who
accomplish the task , we have chosen this specific
cause .
Proposed Solutions
 There must be a regulatory body at state level to evaluate
and train the district health officials in regular intervals.
Thereafter, these trained district officials train their
subordinates who are looking after primary healthcare
centers.
 The proposed state regulatory body shall be recruited by
the retired and experienced doctors, management experts.
 Proposed solution is comparatively better to the existing
monitoring system since it is predominantly controlled and
executed by highly reputed and experienced health
officials.
Implement of the solution
 the department of health of the respective state will
take care of the appointment of the regulation body .
 This body in turn will look after the scheme till the
ground level.
 Financial requirements will come from NRHM . It is
possible because the government of India has spent
21,000 crore for NRHM in 2012-13.
Impact of the solution
 We hope , this will have good impact since the state
regulator y body takes approximately one district per
month .
 And the state regulatory body evaluate the district
body in regular intervals .
Challeges and mitigation factors
 The recruiting to the state regulatory body is crucial .
 So there should a committee comprising experts from
various fields to recruit the personnel of state
regulatory body.

The lack of the quality of Human resources poses a big threat to universalizing the acess to primary healthcare  Despite the good training and experience the human resources such as Doctors, nurses, accredited social health activists they are not in a position to extend their services due to lack of a regular monitoring body.
  • 3. Causes of the problem  There is no evaluation of the services of the concerned persons of healthcare from the top to bottom. Meanwhile they become idle and disoriented.  Since it is the medical practitioners and their staff who accomplish the task , we have chosen this specific cause .
  • 4. Proposed Solutions  There must be a regulatory body at state level to evaluate and train the district health officials in regular intervals. Thereafter, these trained district officials train their subordinates who are looking after primary healthcare centers.  The proposed state regulatory body shall be recruited by the retired and experienced doctors, management experts.  Proposed solution is comparatively better to the existing monitoring system since it is predominantly controlled and executed by highly reputed and experienced health officials.
  • 5. Implement of the solution  the department of health of the respective state will take care of the appointment of the regulation body .  This body in turn will look after the scheme till the ground level.  Financial requirements will come from NRHM . It is possible because the government of India has spent 21,000 crore for NRHM in 2012-13.
  • 6. Impact of the solution  We hope , this will have good impact since the state regulator y body takes approximately one district per month .  And the state regulatory body evaluate the district body in regular intervals .
  • 7. Challeges and mitigation factors  The recruiting to the state regulatory body is crucial .  So there should a committee comprising experts from various fields to recruit the personnel of state regulatory body.
