• In the USA the water is not polluted because we filter, put
chemicals and clean the water.
• Other countries can't afford to clean the water.
• Some people don't get water because where they live far from
clean and filtered water.
• Most people get ill or die of the dirty water pollution.
• Some places have oil spills that pollutes the water and if
people drink the water they could die or get very sick.

3. Our Experiments of Metal
and Glass
• In our experiment we tested what temperature
and how much time it takes for water to boil in
a glass and metal container. When we tested
the one with a glass container our results are
99 degrees Celsius with 8:28 min. The next
trial is 99.7 degrees Celsius 7:11 and the final
trial we got 98.7 degrees Celsius 7:23.
• The experiment with the metal container was
a little different. Here are our results 99.3
degrees Celsius 6:16 min. The next one is
96.4 degrees Celsius 5:22 min. The last
experiment was 98 degrees Celsius 5:00 min.
• If I was in another country with dirty water I
would boil the water in a metal container
because it boils faster in metal.

4. Our Experiment of Tap
and Salt Water
• We also did an experiment with salt and tap water. The
results with tap water is 98.9 degrees Celsius and the time
was 6:41 min. The second time we did this experiment our
results were 78.2 degrees Celsius with 6:10 min. The last
time we did this we got 99 degrees Celsius with a time of
8:25.
• The experiment with salt water was a little different. The
results are 99.2 degrees Celsius in about 6:48 minutes on
the first one. The second trial was 98.6 degrees Celsius in
7:08 minutes. The third trial was 93 degrees Celsius in 6:00
minutes.

8. Conclusion
• We learned that it takes a little longer
for water in a glass container to boil
than metal. During the experiment we
used tap water and the water didn't
reach 100 degrees Celsius but still
boiled and we learned that tap water
has minerals that doesn't allow the
water to reach 100 degrees Celsius.
