A look at Ripon
Main area of activity:
The main area of activity will be film, but I will also have some print work as well.
Rationale:
The first project that we did was a music video. In that project I learnt lots of film
techniques which I plan to use in the FMP as I am doing more filming. I learnt lots of camera
techniques like different angles and movements which I will incorporate into my FMP.
My last similar production was the music video, it will have a impact on this FMP because
in the music video I did my filming outside and as I am doing a tourism video I will be
filming outside.
Project Concept:
My concept for me FMP is I am going to make an advertisement video for Ripon. My plan for this
FMP is to make people want to go to Ripon. I am going to make a video that shows off all the
wonderful things that Ripon has to offer I will be filming outside filming the many things you can do
and see in Ripon. To compliment the video, I will be making a couple posters of Ripon. The
research I will need to do for this project is researching current advertisements like TV, Billboard,
Magazine etc. I will also do a questionnaire and interviews to get the public’s view.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed?
I will do on-going evaluations when I start the production, I will talk about what I did on that day,
what went well and what did not go well if there was anything I could have done to improve it and
what is the next step. At the end I will the final self-reflection here I can look back at all my work
from a viewpoint as if I am looking at it for the first time as well as seeing how I have improved or
not throughout the year.
