WORK MORE, KNOW
MORE: PM MODI’S
MANTRA
FOR
SUCCESSFUL
LEADERSHIP
hat is leadership
and how to be-
come a leader?
The narrator
shares with us
Modiji’s
defini-
tion of leadership and his
advice on how to become a
leader worth one’s salt. We
also get to know how close
women empowerment is to
our PM’s heart and the initia-
tives he undertook to make it
a reality
.
DREAM NOT TO
BECOME
SOMEBO
DY;
DREAM OF DOING
SOMETHING
This is about the time when
world class indoor and out-
door sports complexes were
under construction in Va-
dodara. I came in touch with
Modiji at that time as he
would always keep a special
eye on the developments.
During my close association
with Modiji, I learnt several
important lessons from him.
Something that Modiji al-
ways said to the youngsters,
the karyakartas and others
was that – Never dream of
becoming
something, always
dream of doing something. If
you have decided to do some-
thing, you will eventually end
up becoming
what you wish
to be. But if you dream to be
someone, you will most likely
get entangled
in the web of
your own dreams and not be
able to achieve anything.
Thus the emphasis
was al-
ways on doing, on action!
He also talked about lead-
ership and shared his vision
with us. He used to tell me,
“If you wish to become a
leader, then work the hard-
est. Make it a point that you
work the harder than anyone
else around you.” He would
also encourage us to increase
our knowledge. Modiji’s mot-
to was “Work more than oth-
ers, know more than others.”
One should have complete
information about whatever
field one is in and that, he
said, came from spending
a
lot of time working hard on
the projects and the task at
hand.
It is important to
possess complete
in-
formation for success
which is possible when
you spend a good deal
of time at the work-
place. And Modiji
would always encour-
age karyakartas to
work with devotion
and dedication. Work
to Modiji is akin to su-
preme sacrifice of self.
He would insist that we
ask ourselves questions
such as “If our society
has given us this much,
what can we give back
to our society?”
This
was always his focus.
Honourable Modiji
had started the Garib
Kalyan Mela in Gujarat and
every time he attended that
event, he would gift cycles to
kids, sewing machines to
women - not just this, he
would also follow-up with the
women if the sewing ma-
chines were working or not
and how much they were able
to earn using the machine! I
remember, under Mission
Mangalam, Sakhi Mandals
were created and Modiji
was so concerned with
the welfare of the wom-
en that he would inter-
act with the women
himself to find out
whether they were feel-
ing empowered or not.
He definitely
harbours
a special corner for
women and he would
say “Women
of the
state, women of our
country, need to lead
self-reliant lives.” To
make that a reality,
Modiji left no stone
unturned
and en-
sured through con-
tinuous feedback that
the schemes
were
functioning well
enough and as in-
tended.
t makes a world of a differ-
ence when the PM cares
about the women and the
children
of the country.
The narrator
shares the
humane,
compassionate
side of PM Modi when his timely in-
tervention cured a young boy of his
ailment and helped him resume his
schooling.
It was during the Navaratris that I
had the honour of hosting Modiji over
tea. He is a devoted worshipper of the
Goddess and during Navaratris he is
even more cautious about the food he
eats. As Narendra
bhai moved out of
the premises after tea, he spotted a
boy standing far away in the crowd.
Even we did not know what happened
but Modiji started walking towards
the boy
. He requested
for the boy to be
brought to him from the crowd and as
he came to him, Modiji addressed
the
boy and asked “What has happened to
you?” The boy had a huge tumour at
onesideof hisneckandModijiputhis
finger to it to feel it and asked the boy
“Does it hurt you? Where are your
parents?”
The boy pointed out in the
distance towards his parents and
Modiji called for the parents to come
to him. He then interacted with the
parents of the boy to find out more
about his ailment.
He said to them “Your son is suffer-
ing so much. Does he study in a school
or not? Are you aware of the govern-
ment healthcare schemes in schools?
The entire amount will be borne by
the government for treatment of your
son. So you must take a certificate
from the school at the earliest and
show him to a doctor. The govern-
ment will ensure that your son is
cured of the disease, free of cost.”
Modiji then asked me to ensure a fol-
low-up to the case and it is with im-
mense pride I can say that the boy was
operated upon successfully by the
doctors and today he is studying well.
This is how Narendra
bhai shines
like a beacon light for the world to
feel inspired and encouraged to live
for others. His humanitarian
thoughts, compassion, and kindness
have no parallel. When I met Naren-
dra bhai a few months later, he re-
ferred to the boy once again in his
conversation with me and inquired
of me “How is the boy doing post op-
eration? Do you know how is he far-
ing now?” I told him, much to his
satisfaction, that the boy was doing
well and is healthy now. He was hap-
py to know that the boy was able to
walk around by himself and had re-
sumed his schooling
as well.
To be continued...

WORK MORE, KNOW
MORE: PM MODI’S
MANTRA FOR
SUCCESSFUL
LEADERSHIP
hat is leadership
and how to be-
come a leader?
The narrator
shares with us
Modiji’s defini-
tion of leadership and his
advice on how to become a
leader worth one’s salt. We
also get to know how close
women empowerment is to
our PM’s heart and the initia-
tives he undertook to make it
a reality
.
DREAM NOT TO
BECOME SOMEBODY;
DREAM OF DOING
SOMETHING
This is about the time when
world class indoor and out-
door sports complexes were
under construction in Va-
dodara. I came in touch with
Modiji at that time as he
would always keep a special
eye on the developments.
During my close association
with Modiji, I learnt several
important lessons from him.
Something that Modiji al-
ways said to the youngsters,
the karyakartas and others
was that – Never dream of
becoming something, always
dream of doing something. If
you have decided to do some-
thing, you will eventually end
up becoming what you wish
to be. But if you dream to be
someone, you will most likely
get entangled in the web of
your own dreams and not be
able to achieve anything.
Thus the emphasis was al-
ways on doing, on action!
He also talked about lead-
ership and shared his vision
with us. He used to tell me,
“If you wish to become a
leader, then work the hard-
est. Make it a point that you
work the harder than anyone
else around you.” He would
also encourage us to increase
our knowledge. Modiji’s mot-
to was “Work more than oth-
ers, know more than others.”
One should have complete
information about whatever
field one is in and that, he
said, came from spending a
lot of time working hard on
the projects and the task at
hand.
It is important to
possess complete in-
formation for success
which is possible when
you spend a good deal
of time at the work-
place. And Modiji
would always encour-
age karyakartas to
work with devotion
and dedication. Work
to Modiji is akin to su-
preme sacrifice of self.
He would insist that we
ask ourselves questions
such as “If our society
has given us this much,
what can we give back
to our society?” This
was always his focus.
Honourable Modiji
had started the Garib
Kalyan Mela in Gujarat and
every time he attended that
event, he would gift cycles to
kids, sewing machines to
women - not just this, he
would also follow-up with the
women if the sewing ma-
chines were working or not
and how much they were able
to earn using the machine! I
remember, under Mission
Mangalam, Sakhi Mandals
were created and Modiji
was so concerned with
the welfare of the wom-
en that he would inter-
act with the women
himself to find out
whether they were feel-
ing empowered or not.
He definitely harbours
a special corner for
women and he would
say “Women of the
state, women of our
country, need to lead
self-reliant lives.” To
make that a reality,
Modiji left no stone
unturned and en-
sured through con-
tinuous feedback that
the schemes were
functioning well
enough and as in-
tended.
t makes a world of a differ-
ence when the PM cares
about the women and the
children of the country.
The narrator shares the
humane, compassionate
side of PM Modi when his timely in-
tervention cured a young boy of his
ailment and helped him resume his
schooling.
It was during the Navaratris that I
had the honour of hosting Modiji over
tea. He is a devoted worshipper of the
Goddess and during Navaratris he is
even more cautious about the food he
eats. As Narendra bhai moved out of
the premises after tea, he spotted a
boy standing far away in the crowd.
Even we did not know what happened
but Modiji started walking towards
the boy
. He requested for the boy to be
brought to him from the crowd and as
he came to him, Modiji addressed the
boy and asked “What has happened to
you?” The boy had a huge tumour at
onesideof hisneckandModijiputhis
finger to it to feel it and asked the boy
“Does it hurt you? Where are your
parents?” The boy pointed out in the
distance towards his parents and
Modiji called for the parents to come
to him. He then interacted with the
parents of the boy to find out more
about his ailment.
He said to them “Your son is suffer-
ing so much. Does he study in a school
or not? Are you aware of the govern-
ment healthcare schemes in schools?
The entire amount will be borne by
the government for treatment of your
son. So you must take a certificate
from the school at the earliest and
show him to a doctor. The govern-
ment will ensure that your son is
cured of the disease, free of cost.”
Modiji then asked me to ensure a fol-
low-up to the case and it is with im-
mense pride I can say that the boy was
operated upon successfully by the
doctors and today he is studying well.
This is how Narendra bhai shines
like a beacon light for the world to
feel inspired and encouraged to live
for others. His humanitarian
thoughts, compassion, and kindness
have no parallel. When I met Naren-
dra bhai a few months later, he re-
ferred to the boy once again in his
conversation with me and inquired
of me “How is the boy doing post op-
eration? Do you know how is he far-
ing now?” I told him, much to his
satisfaction, that the boy was doing
well and is healthy now. He was hap-
py to know that the boy was able to
walk around by himself and had re-
sumed his schooling as well.
To be continued...

GOVT VS OPPN
New Delhi (PTI):
Slamming the Opposi-

Piyush Goyal said on
Wednesday Congress
was disrupting proceed-
ings in the House.
“Congress has a de-
structive attitude to-
wards democracy. It
was exposed from
Jairam Ramesh’s tweet
that Congress was suc-
cessful in not allowing
the House to function,”
Goyal, who is the Lead-
er of House in Rajya

outside parliament.
He alleged there was
a competition among
opposition parties on
who would disrupt par-
liament most. The gov-
ernment is not running
away from debate on
price rise and GST and
the issues can be taken
up once the finance
minister recovers from

the LS Speaker also ex-
pressed their readiness

ty leaders said.
IS IT ‘UNPARLIAMENTARY’ TO DISCUSS
INFLATION, ASKS PRIYANKA GANDHI SLAMS
New Delhi (PTI): Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on
Wednesday alleged that PM Modi is increasing household
expenditure while shying away from a discussion on it in
Parliament, and asked whether it is “unparlia-
mentary” to discuss inflation. The Congress
said it is “cruel” on the part of the government
to raise taxes on some essential items of
consumption as it will lead to a further rise
in inflation. In a tweet in Hindi, Gandhi said
that in the midst of severe inflation, house-
holds needed “sanjeevani” (major boost). The
BJP-led government increased the burden of inflation further
by imposing “Grihasthi Satyanash Tax (GST)” (household
destruction tax) on flour, grains, jaggery and curd, she said.
New Delhi: The government

liament on price rise once FM
Nirmala Sitharaman recovers

people and take back this

it will lead to further inflation.

accompanied by the IAS
officers, however, their
PCS association does
not even advocate for
making PCS officers as
CDOs. Due to this, PCS

Editor-In-Chief: Dr Jagdeesh Chandra Editor: Anita Hada Sangwan responsible for selection of news under the PRB Act WORK MORE, KNOW MORE: PM MODI’S MANTRA FOR SUCCESSFUL LEADERSHIP hat is leadership and how to be- come a leader? The narrator shares with us Modiji’s defini- tion of leadership and his advice on how to become a leader worth one’s salt. We also get to know how close women empowerment is to our PM’s heart and the initia- tives he undertook to make it a reality . DREAM NOT TO BECOME SOMEBO DY; DREAM OF DOING SOMETHING This is about the time when world class indoor and out- door sports complexes were under construction in Va- dodara. I came in touch with Modiji at that time as he would always keep a special eye on the developments. During my close association with Modiji, I learnt several important lessons from him. Something that Modiji al- ways said to the youngsters, the karyakartas and others was that – Never dream of becoming something, always dream of doing something. If you have decided to do some- thing, you will eventually end up becoming what you wish to be. But if you dream to be someone, you will most likely get entangled in the web of your own dreams and not be able to achieve anything. Thus the emphasis was al- ways on doing, on action! He also talked about lead- ership and shared his vision with us. He used to tell me, “If you wish to become a leader, then work the hard- est. Make it a point that you work the harder than anyone else around you.” He would also encourage us to increase our knowledge. Modiji’s mot- to was “Work more than oth- ers, know more than others.” One should have complete information about whatever field one is in and that, he said, came from spending a lot of time working hard on the projects and the task at hand. It is important to possess complete in- formation for success which is possible when you spend a good deal of time at the work- place. And Modiji would always encour- age karyakartas to work with devotion and dedication. Work to Modiji is akin to su- preme sacrifice of self. He would insist that we ask ourselves questions such as “If our society has given us this much, what can we give back to our society?” This was always his focus. Honourable Modiji had started the Garib Kalyan Mela in Gujarat and every time he attended that event, he would gift cycles to kids, sewing machines to women - not just this, he would also follow-up with the women if the sewing ma- chines were working or not and how much they were able to earn using the machine! I remember, under Mission Mangalam, Sakhi Mandals were created and Modiji was so concerned with the welfare of the wom- en that he would inter- act with the women himself to find out whether they were feel- ing empowered or not. He definitely harbours a special corner for women and he would say “Women of the state, women of our country, need to lead self-reliant lives.” To make that a reality, Modiji left no stone unturned and en- sured through con- tinuous feedback that the schemes were functioning well enough and as in- tended. t makes a world of a differ- ence when the PM cares about the women and the children of the country. The narrator shares the humane, compassionate side of PM Modi when his timely in- tervention cured a young boy of his ailment and helped him resume his schooling. It was during the Navaratris that I had the honour of hosting Modiji over tea. He is a devoted worshipper of the Goddess and during Navaratris he is even more cautious about the food he eats. As Narendra bhai moved out of the premises after tea, he spotted a boy standing far away in the crowd. Even we did not know what happened but Modiji started walking towards the boy . He requested for the boy to be brought to him from the crowd and as he came to him, Modiji addressed the boy and asked “What has happened to you?” The boy had a huge tumour at onesideof hisneckandModijiputhis finger to it to feel it and asked the boy “Does it hurt you? Where are your parents?” The boy pointed out in the distance towards his parents and Modiji called for the parents to come to him. He then interacted with the parents of the boy to find out more about his ailment. He said to them “Your son is suffer- ing so much. Does he study in a school or not? Are you aware of the govern- ment healthcare schemes in schools? The entire amount will be borne by the government for treatment of your son. So you must take a certificate from the school at the earliest and show him to a doctor. The govern- ment will ensure that your son is cured of the disease, free of cost.” Modiji then asked me to ensure a fol- low-up to the case and it is with im- mense pride I can say that the boy was operated upon successfully by the doctors and today he is studying well. This is how Narendra bhai shines like a beacon light for the world to feel inspired and encouraged to live for others. His humanitarian thoughts, compassion, and kindness have no parallel. When I met Naren- dra bhai a few months later, he re- ferred to the boy once again in his conversation with me and inquired of me “How is the boy doing post op- eration? Do you know how is he far- ing now?” I told him, much to his satisfaction, that the boy was doing well and is healthy now. He was hap- py to know that the boy was able to walk around by himself and had re- sumed his schooling as well. To be continued... Come, Rise, Women and Children - PM is by your side! HOW PM MODI’S LIFE IS A LIFE NOT FOR SELF, BUT FOR OTHERS W I MODI’S HEALTHCARE SCHEMES WON HEARTS M odiji addressed a boy and asked “What has happened to you?” The boy had a huge tumour at one side of his neck and Modiji put his finger to it to feel it and asked the boy “Does it hurt you? Where are your parents?” He said to them “Your son is suffering so much. Are you aware of the government healthcare schemes in schools? So, you must take a certificate from the school at the earliest and show him to a doctor. The government will ensure that your son is cured of the disease, free of cost.” COMPILED AND EDITED BY SHASHIKAN T SHARMA AND SHWETA SHARMA ‘MODI HAI TO MUMKIN HAI…’ UNTOLD STORIES OF PM MODI - PART 15 the projects and the task at place. DREAM NOT TO BECOME SOMEBODY; DREAM OF DOING SOMETHING This is about the time when world class indoor and out- door sports complexes were under construction in Va- dodara.
