The Zero-ETL Approach: Enhancing Data Agility and Insight
Farzin S. Yazdani - Biography
1. Mr. Yazdani is the CEO of Fast DAS, an independent provider
of high value business, integration, and engineering
services. He has written numerous articles and publications
on radio access technologies, infrastructure convergence,
and the business models that efficiently and effectively bring
them to the marketplace. A radio-frequency (RF) engineer
by trade, business information systems analyst by
education, and entrepreneur by nature Mr. Yazdani is deeply
loyal to his core values, leads from the front, and knows how
to get things done.
Mr. Yazdani is encouraged and inspired by infrastructure convergence models we see taking shape
in the marketplace today. He believes distributed RF infrastructure models, like neutral host distributed
antenna systems (NH-DAS), are the future of wireless infrastructure. Unifying mobile services into a single
platform isn’t just good for business, it now produces a superior quality of service too. He argues that using
a spectrally efficient technology, like LTE or 802.11x, in an inefficient way, like blasting high power and
latency nodes into urban to dense urban environments, is a poor unsustainable RF service delivery model.
Mr. Yazdani’s unbiased, carrier agnostic, vendor neutral approach toward RF engineering is geared
toward rationalizing the costs of implementation, while increasing the funding and revenue potential from
the infrastructure overtime. Over the course of his career Mr. Yazdani has led engineering efforts on some of
the largest venue DAS, in-building and outdoor neutral host coverage and capacity projects in
the nation. His passion for RF science, architecting and implementing world class mobile networks has
locked him in collaboration with and connected him to the leading scientific, legal, and business minds in
wireless.
Mr. Yazdani served his country honorably in the US Navy and received his BBA in Information Systems
from Radford University.
