Website Recommendations
Overview of the home page:
The goal of the Kremen School’s website is to provide students with information
about the many programs offered there. At face value the website is very well organized,
having several tabs, serving as the main tool for navigation, on the left side of the screen, a
current event is displayed in the center with quick links to the school’s programs below it
and on the right side of the screen you have the school’s location and a a social media
window that displays the Kremen School’s Twitter account.
Content Analysis:
Like most Fresno State websites the tabs on the left side of the screen offer the
visitor many options so that they can get the information that they need quickly. You can
learn about the Kremen School in the “About” tab, you can learn about the credential
programs in the “ Teaching Credential Programs” tab and you can learn about graduate
programs in the “Graduate & ED.D. Programs” tab.
Once you go into the desired tab there are many options offered there to help
narrow your search and get the information that you need. For example, going into the
“Teaching Credential Programs” tab will then give me the option to select a program that
will allow me to teach elementary, middle or high school. Overall the tabs make the website
very organized.

Website Usefulness:
The website is very well organized and for a first time student, wanting to pursue a
career in education, the website is very user friendly. The only problem that a student
could have with the website would come from them not knowing specifically what they are
looking for. Since the whole site has a lot of content I can see users getting confused or
overwhelmed with information.
Likeliness for repeated visits:
With the way that the website is organized I’m very likely to use it as my first option.
The only hindrance that I see is having to constantly to click on a long train of tabs every
time I visit the website but with the Kremen School’s office being available till 5 p.m. (I
assume), I can easily just go and ask for information.
Things to improve:
While the location information is clearly provided, I can’t find the office hours for ED
100(I’ll assume its 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.). Adding to that there is nothing that indicates what
office/room different programs are located. For example, through the website alone I won’t
be able to find the office for the Multiple Subject Credential Program or many other
programs. I don’t know if I would have to do counseling in ED 100 or find a specific office.
Overview:
After going over the website and going through every tab I think I found the site
itself to be very organized. Information on specific programs was easy to find along with
many links leading to more information. The text based website can get overwhelming but
through reading everything carefully and knowing what to look for, navigation becomes
very simple.
