2. This is my Masthead in which I used ‘warp
text’ to give it the ‘wavey’ style. I did this
because I wanted to give the magazine a
friendly feel to it. I also gave it two colours,
black and white. I did this to separate the
title of the magazine and the word
‘magazine’. The font used was ‘PRETEXT’ I
used it because it was almost as if someone
had painted it on which helped incorporate
it with the image below.
For my magazine I used a
bright pink with a texture
overlay. I used the pink to
go with the other images’
background and also to
make the magazine more
eye catching.
This is my plug I used to draw
readers in. I used this specific text
because the majority of readers
will be A-Level students and proud
parents.
Cover Page
The image I used is a
posed mid-shot in
which there is a lot of
looking space. The
man is posed looking
away from the camera
to give the image a
negative, not
connected feel which
contrast against the
rest of the cover. I did
this to show the stress
the school gives to
students.
3. Contents Page
Rule of thirds, I made
sure that the list was in
a column and only listed
the more interesting
pages so they would be
seen first.
I used a huge, bold
text to the contents
page to show the
importance of the
page.
The image I used is
of a smiling teacher
next to our trophy
cabinet, this was
done to showcase
the achievements.
I used a bright, yellow
background to make it
stand out amongst the
other pages.
