How do you intend to use the four areas of the media theoretical framework to communicate meaning and
meet the requirements of your chosen brief?
The demographic of my audience is a sixteen- to twenty-five-year-old mass market audience. The genre of my chosen
brief is a real-life magazine, which will include reallife scenarios and stories, while also incapsulating the interests of
the target audience.
Since my target audience is younger, inpatient, and easily impacted by the media they consume, I will include
media elements that will be intended to attract and maintain their attention to my media products. One way
that I will do this is by including media language such as enigma codes, that will help capture and hook in my
audience. Elements such as lighting, camera angles, colour scheme, and costume will be vital to maintaining
the attention of the audience, I intend to use bright colours and intriguing images, which will relate to the
coverlines to help the reader adventure into my magazine. The use of humour and irony will be a big part of
the branding, identity, and representation of my media products. This will help me include elements to
entertain my readers and compel them into wanting to read more deeply into my articles.
Psychographics were a main part of my research into my intended target audience, I believe that my
audience enjoy easily readable elements that would include tips about fashion, lifestyle, and wellness but are
interested in aspects of bringing attention to serious topics such as mental health. They would look for media
products that help them find who they identify as identification is a big part of society today and a lot of
people around the age of my demographic are searching to find themselves. They seek stories they find
interesting and intriguing, from a range of people that they can relate to as well as gossip in general. They
are part of Generation Z and are the future of our society, they have a strong voice, stand up for their rights
and what they believe in. Identifiable as both extroverts and introverts, with a mixture of trying to fit in and
standing out from the crowd, even though they are impacted by other generations, they create their own

trends and fashion statements. My media products will have a clear indication that they are intended for
people in this target audience.
The products I will be designing will be produced for the company Bauer Media, to distribute. During my
research into this company, I can infer that within their style of real-life magazines, they like to include
representations and media language that would be easily understandable for their audiences, convenience is
key to my intended audience so I will incorporate elements and traits that will be easily accessible and
readable for the audience. Due to the nature of my audience, the inclusion of interactive and entertaining
elements will be important, I intend to include quizzes and interactive pages that will maintain the focus on
both media products.

How do you intend to link your media products to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the
digitally convergent nature of your media production? (approx. 100 word)
In terms of advertising my media products, I will use the digital convergence of my media products to my
advantage, as both products coincide with each other they will provide advertisement for each other. My
magazine will include a coverline that will lead the reader to seek out the website, when on the website it
will include interactive elements such as competitions that they can enter or additional information
relating to the articles included in the magazine. I will include a subscription feature on my website which
makes it more easily accessible to viewers to subscribe and get hold of my magazine
