4. Magazine Competitors
When I chose R&B as my genre for the
magazine I also had to take into
consideration the possible competitor
R&B magazines. Therefore I bought
my own copies of ‘XXL’ and ‘VIBE’ and
analysed them to gain knowledge in
the conventions they use, and how
they appeal to their target audience. I
spent time looking at the images used
on the front cover and how they
represent their genre through image
conventions.
I also took into consideration other genres of magazines that follow
similar conventions. Therefore I bought the magazine ‘Q’ and analysed
the front cover in the same way I had the R&B magazines I looked at. I
considered the use of lighting, positioning, colour, expressions and
specific forms of identity for that genre of music. I decided that also
looking at a mixed genre magazine and following their conventions
would help me to appeal my R&B magazine to a wider target audience.
Therefore the information I had gathered on conventions was from both
an R&B magazine and a pop/mixed genre magazine. Which also enabled
me to compare the different styles that I could use on my own magazine.
5. Conventions used by ‘VIBE’
The puff used saying ‘20th
anniversary collector’s
issue’ gives the magazine a
sense of accomplishment,
and that it deserves its
status within the industry.
It also makes the magazine
sound more superior in
comparison to other
magazines.
The use of the word
‘special’ also signifies
the importance of the
magazines status.
The background is
white and therefore
contrasts against the
dark picture- making it
stand out.
The masthead ‘VIBE’ is in a
hot pink colour, which
stands out against the
white background. It also
makes it recognisable for
the ‘VIBE’ audience
because it is in the same
font and position.
The fact that all three of the artists
on the front cover have their eyes
hidden, portrays to the consumer
audience that they are hiding
something- which could be inside
the magazine.
The smart appearance of the
artists also conveys that they
are superior and have wealth.
Also the two members of Daft
Punk are wearing gold and
silver headgear, therefore it
also conveys their wealth.
The language used on the front
of the magazine, also portrays
a laid back and modern image.
This tells the consumer of the
style the magazine will be
written in inside the magazine.
The use of the ‘#’ on this
magazine conveys the
modern language again,
this makes it appeal to a
younger audience.
6. Conventions used in my own magazine
‘EDGE’
The design element of
using the red dots across
the top of the page breaks
up the masthead from the
top edge of the page.
The use of the glow
around the picture
accentuates the image
The feature article
cover line of ‘Jades
first real interview ‘
is white on a black
background, which
makes it stand
The pull quote used
on the front cover of
this magazine
relates to the
picture on the front
cover. Also the fact
the colour is red on
a black background
is in keeping with its
house style.
The ‘EDGE’ masthead is bold, and
spread across the top of the page in
a white colour. This therefore makes it
stand out against the white background.
The cover lines are all to the right
hand side of the page which instantly
draws attention to them. Also the
red and black colours of the font
contrast against the grey
background.
The use of the ‘+’ sign on
the front cover shows
modern conventions.
The styling of ‘Jade’ on the front
cover even combines with the
overall house style colour scheme
of the magazine.
7. Comparison of conventions
Running head’s
• Although neither of these are similar,
they do both follow the convention of
having the running head at the top of
the page.
• Many magazines do include writing at the
top of the page, often to fill the page, and
break up the masthead from the top of the
page.
• It also often identifies the house style of the
magazine, which continues throughout.
Masthead’s
• Both ‘VIBE’ and ‘EDGE’ have similar mastheads.
•
Both have used the similar convention of having the
feature front cover photo extend into the masthead. This
makes the picture jump off of the page more. Also for well
known magazines their mastheads are easily recognisable
anyway , therefore it is a not a problem if their masthead
is slightly covered.
•
Lastly the fact the masthead is in capital letters also makes
it stand out on the page.
• They are both four letter words.
• Both have similar fonts.
• They are also both on a contrasting background.
• The width of the mastheads are both spread across the
page.
8. Comparison of conventions
The front cover
photo of ‘VIBE’ is of
Pharrell and Daft
Punk in the
background.
Although in
comparison to
‘EDGE’ the picture’s
themselves are very
different, the
conventions used
are very similar.
Firstly Pharrell is
wearing black,
which conveys his
sleek image. Although his shirt is unbuttoned which
also suggests his laid back image. The image is
taken from straight on, therefore this Suggests his
powerful status on the page. Also the fact thatDaft
Punk are standing behind Pharrell portrays the fact
his is of most importance. Also similar to the image
used on ‘EDGE’, the hairstyles used for both artists
on both magazines, are very structured, and
portrays that they are well groomed.
The front cover photo of
‘EDGE’, has a similar
conveying of attitude to
‘VIBE’ both artists are
portraying serious
expressions which
represent there status.
Also with ‘EDGE’ the
image of Jade is taken
from a slightly lower
angle, which conveys her
importance and higher
status. The fact that
Jade’s collar is up, also
identifies her sleek and
sophisticated image. Also the use of styling of the
photo is in the house style of the magazine, ie. the lip
colour is red and the black leather jacket. Another
convention used for the above is image, is the glow
around Jade’s body, this represents her wealth and
powerful status. The image overall is representing a
powerful, stylish and sophisticated ambience. Which
many of the audience of the magazine would aspire to
be like.
9. Comparison of conventions
Both magazines have also used modern
uses of symbols to represent the style of
their magazine as young and modern.
Also although ‘VIBE’s’ fonts are all the
same, they do vary in size. Which makes it
simple, neat and it works. Whereas ‘EDGE’
is in a variety of different fonts and sizes
which makes the magazine visually
appealing to its consumer audience. The
variation in fonts represents the new
modern vibe of the magazine and a sense of
creativity.
A similarity in the magazines also, is that
the barcode of the product is placed at the
bottom of the page.
The cover lines in comparison to
each other are placed very
differently across the page. In
‘VIBE’ they are mostly at the
bottom of the front cover and
spread out, making the image jump
out from the page at the top. In
‘EDGE’ the cover lines are all
located on the right hand side of
the page allowing the focus to be
on the picture.
Also ‘VIBE’ have placed their cover
lines on top of the front cover
image, and the main cover lines
are based upon the image. This
therefore makes the image the
main focus. Whereas the ‘EDGE’
cover lines are placed around the
image, which instantly visually
draws the consumers eyes to the
image first.
Lastly the font colour for both
magazines are contrasting against
the background, this therefore
makes them visual .
10. Conventions used by ‘VIBE’ in their contents
page
The column on the left hand side
identifies to the consumer specific
pages within the magazine to look
out for. It also gives a brief
explanation under each title page of
what it is about. Therefore it is
clearly outlining the inside of the
magazine.
The colour scheme is all in
keeping with ‘VIBE’s’ house
style, ie the red, gold and
white.
The main headlines used on the
magazine are highlighted in
bold, therefore the reader can
identify the main focus of each
page.
The fact both male and
female artists are used in the
images on the contents page,
suggests the magazine is
appealing to both a male and
female audience.
Vibe have used the first letter of their
masthead on the contents page in
keeping with their house style. .
There is usually either one or two
large images on the contents page, it
is often of one of the main artists
that features in the magazine.
The white background makes
everything on the page stand out.
Also the tagline used at the top of the
page identifies that the page is revealing
all the important pages within the magazine,
the tag line says ‘departments’ therefore
the consumer is easily able to see which
“department” they would like to view first.
11. Conventions used in ‘EDGE’ for the contents
page
The tag line used at the top of the
page identifies instantly to the
consumer that this page is the
contents page.
The fact a list is used to show the
current top of the charts for R&B
music, again reminds the
consumer of the demographic, as
well as it being an added extra.
The fact the layout of the page is
in columns, makes the overall
look of the page look neat and
clear. it also helps the consumer to
read it in a logical order.
The information included with
the picture identifies briefly
about the artist on the page and
what the article is about.
The main feature photo on
the page is bigger than the
rest of the images. It is
usually of another artist
that is not on the front
cover.
The background of the
contents page is contrasting
against everything else on the
page, making everything else
on the page visually stand out.
Also all the colours used are in
keeping with ‘EDGE’s’ house
style.
The artist ‘Jade’ that is on the
front cover of the magazine is
also included in the contents
page, although she is in a
different outfit and has a
different overall appearance,
possibly appealing to a wider
audience.
This column tells the consumer that
they are getting an added extra
because of the use of the ‘+’ symbol, as
though there getting their moneys
worth.
12. Similar conventions used in both ‘VIBE’ and
‘EDGE’
Both ‘VIBE’ and ‘EDGE’ have
used columns in their contents
pages, this overall gives the
page a neater and more
logical overall appearance. Also
using columns allows the page
numbers to easily be identified
by the consumer because they
are aligned well within the
column. Also using this
layout allows more
information to be on the page,
because it is a shorter and
more to the point format.
Instead of having large chunks
of information. ‘EDGE’ has
lines to section the pages from
each other also. This also
makes it even clearer for the
consumer to realise which
page is which.
Both magazines have used
arrows to locate either an
image or page number.
the use of arrows is effective because it states to
the consumer exactly what they should be looking
at. Also because it is next to the page number it
also identifies that the two are associated
together, to show the navigation. Also both of the
arrows used are in keeping with their individual
house styles. Therefore it is
bold on the page and does not look out of place
Also both magazines
have used a tag at
the top of the page, to identify exactly what the
page is about ie. the contents page. Also when
the consumer is looking for the contents page at
first they will be able to instantly visually find the
contents page. Again both magazines have used
fonts and colours for the tag in the colours of
their house style. Therefore it fits in well on the
page and does not look out of place.
13. Conventions used by ‘VIBE’ in their feature
page
The fact that ‘VIBE’ have
used both a male and
female artist for their
feature article, suggests
that they are appealing at
both a female and male
audience. Also the image
is more playful which
suggests a more relaxed
article.
The fact that Robin
Thicke and Janelle
monae’s names are
located across the top
of the double page
spread instantly
promotes the
importance of them
both.
Also the image is on a
white background,
therefore the simplicity of
the background makes the
image stand out.
The first paragraph is
all highlighted in bold to
identify a summary of
the entire article, and
give an overall outlook
of the article.
The fact that both the
artists are wearing black,
and are both wearing
suits. Suggests they are
both of an equal status.
The use of the balloons again
suggests the playful image that
they are representing. It also
ties in with the fact that ‘VIBE’
was celebrating its 20th
anniversary in this issue.
They have also used the drop
cap ‘It’s a Party!’ at the start of
the article, which instantly sets
the informality and playfulness
of the article.
‘VIBE’ have also used columns in
their feature article, which makes
the article look clear and is in a
logical order to read.
The page number is
located at the bottom of
the page this makes it easy
for the consumer to find
the page when they are
flicking through the
magazine to find an
article.
14. Conventions used by ‘EDGE’ in their feature
page
Similar to ‘VIBE’, ‘EDGE’
has balloons on the page,
creating the atmosphere
and tone for the article as
playful.
The artists name ‘Jade’ has
been located in bold at the
top of the page, instantly
drawing the consumers
attention to who the
article is about.
The image used is close
up, and a completely
different tone to the
picture of Jade on the
front. This shows the
diversity of the artist, and
the idea that she can be
taking seriously yet still
has fun.
Also a short sub heading is
used under the artists
name, it summarises the
contents of the article. It
also is in keeping with the
house style colours of
‘EDGE’.
‘EDGE’ also has a drop cap, which makes it clear where the
article begins. It also is another design aspect of the article.
The article also starts with a paragraph informing the
consumer of the contents of the article, and setting the
scene of where it took place etc.
Columns are also used in ‘EDGE’ to again give a neater and
clearer overall appearance. It also looks visually appealing,
and easier to read. Instead of setting the text out in a large
chunk of writing, which to some consumers could be off
putting.
15. Similar conventions used in both ‘VIBE’ and
‘EDGE’
Both ‘VIBE’ and ‘EDGE’
have used balloons in
their feature articles,
representing a more
fun and playful image
of the artists. Also
helping to identify the
article is a playful and
vibrant tone.
The names of the
artists have both been
displayed bold across
the top of the articles,
instantly making it
recognisable to the
consumer who and
what the article is
about.
Similar to many other magazines the
article has been set out in columns,
this makes the consumer able to
read the article in a logical order. It
also looks more visually appealing to
the consumer-and not to daunting
to read. Also the fonts used are
clear, and simple- also allowing the
easiest read for the consumer. The
colours of the fonts contrast against
the background, and are also in
keeping with the magazines house
style. Another convention that both
magazines have used is to include
the interviewer, editor or
photographer at the end of the
article. Giving them credit for their
work and appreciation. ‘EDGE’ has
included the website for the
magazine at the bottom (on all their
pages) which allows the consumer
to be aware they can look
up more on the internet.
16.
17. Demographics
The image projects a representation of a young woman, who is
successful, stylish and has an attitude…What young aspiring girl
wouldn't look up to her?
The age group that this magazine is aimed at is between the ages of 1525. The fact the image is modern and projecting a young vibe, helps the
audience to identify the magazine through these demographics. Also
the use of language is young and modern, for example the use of the ‘+’
symbol identifies a more modern way than using the word ‘and’.
Although I have tried to identify the audience of this magazine as being
both female and male, the picture does appeal to a female audience
more because, young women would aspire to be like ‘Jade’ on the front
cover.
Also the magazine appeals to a middle class audience, because it is
aspirational for young people wanting to be like her. The outfit and style
she is conveying also is representative who may have money, because
they clearly take pride in their appearance.

Demographics of images
.
.
.
The above image reflects a
relaxed persona. Although it is
more of a working class image,
because the clothing and attitude
is more relatable, as the image
itself is more casual.
This image is similar to the front
cover in the style it has been
photographed. The attitude is
very similar, and is therefore a
powerful image. Although the
clothes she is wearing are more
relaxed.
The image above is more relaxed
than the other images, and is in a
more playful style. The fact there
is a piano in the image, reminds
the audience the magazine is
entirely based around music.
The fact all of the images in the magazine are o f women, is representative to appeal
to a female audience. It is also emphasising the idea of strong female women (which
is highly represented within the R&B music industry). Many of the images are either
relatable for the audience or are aspirational for the audience.

20. IPC, engage with over 26 million UK adults. Also almost two thirds of women in the UK, and 40% of men.
They have an ‘award winning portfolio’ which reaches over 25 million global users every month online. The
key audiences they target are mass market women, upmarket men, upmarket women and young men. They
also ensure that ‘advertisers have the best understanding of the people to whom they are advertising’. As
well as print, IPC also offer their services online, therefore they are covering all areas of multimedia.
Therefore IPC, would be a suitable distributer for ‘EDGE’ magazine. Firstly they promise to ensure that the
people advertising the magazine are targeting it at the right audience, therefore for ‘EDGE’ they would be
able to specifically target at people between the ages of 15-25 who are interested in R&B music. This would
be of importance because people not interested in R&B will be unlikely to want to buy the magazine. The
fact they also already target at ‘mass market women’ ensures that they are familiar with the audience ‘EDGE’
is targeted at. Lastly ‘EDGE’ is conveying modern influences through out there magazine, and IPC offer their
magazine services online. Therefore they are embracing modern technology.
21. Bauer Media reaches over nineteen million UK adults every week. They have more than eighty influential
media brands, which are targeting many different interests, from fashion to music. They say ‘we connect
people and communities with compelling and quality content, whenever, wherever and however they want.
They claim that in any ‘given publication period 9.9m people in the UK will read a Bauer Media Magazine.
Therefore Bauer Media, would also be a suitable distribution company for ‘EDGE’ because they also claim to
reach out to a wide audience of people. They claim the reason for their success is due to the advertising they
use, therefore they believe many possible consumers will be reached out to. Also they claim to have 9.9m
readers within any publication period, therefore it would be ideal for ‘EDGE’ because it is aimed at a big
market. Another reason that Bauer Media are an ideal distributer for ‘EDGE’ is that they already are a
distributer for music magazines, therefore they are experienced within the market and who to target it at.
22.
23. Target Audience & Genre
When I was first given the project to make a music magazine, I firstly had to take into
consideration the target audience. Considering the target audience first, allowed me to base my
ideas upon a specific audience. Firstly I had to decide on the genre for the magazine, after looking
at different genres I decided R&B would be best suited for my magazine. Also from gathering my
research, I decided the age group that my magazine would be targeted at would be 15-25. Also
the use of language and images, will reflect a middle class audience. Another aspect of my
magazine I wanted to take into consideration was the gender it would appeal to. I wanted to
make sure it was targeted at both male and female, therefore the market would be wider.
Although the person on the magazine is a young female, it could still appeal to both genders.
24. Researching the needs for my
chosen genre…
I researched my chosen genre of R&B when I was first given the
task to create a music magazine. I asked around fifty people
between the ages of 15-25, to gain knowledge of what appeals to
my target audience. Therefore I could go on to base the magazine
around what the consumers want.
I used 11 questions within the questionnaire to target specific
questions at my audience, and to find answers to what they want.
From the survey I carried out I was able to find out…
I was able to decide on the name of the magazine, by choosing which was most popular.
I was also able to make decisions such as the colour scheme, although based upon the overall look of the
magazine the colour scheme did change.
I also discovered the most appealing part of the front cover for consumers is the person on it, therefore I
knew the picture had to be the main feature.
I addressed that the attitude of the magazine had to be sophisticated to appeal to my audience.
I also asked the question do you prefer the magazine to be conventional or unconventional, and the
results where 48%/52%, therefore I was able to make my own decision as the results where practically
50/50.
Also the target audience addressed that they wanted a 50/50 mixture of both images and text.

Addressing the audience is key, as they are
the individuals that will be wanting to buy
your magazine. From the research I had
gathered in my questionnaire, when I was
first given the task. I was able to discover
exactly what my target audience wanted to
see within the magazine. Therefore I used
the questionnaire results to focus on what is
best suited to my specific audience.

29. Using the camera…
& deciding the most suitable photo to use
The camera angle, is highly
important and can set the tone of
the image. The image on the left
was taken straight on, and
therefore doesn’t look very
professional. Also the image itself
doesn’t have much attitude or
emotion. Therefore it is hard for
the audience to tell what the
image is conveying. Therefore the
image on the left is not suitable.
The image on the right however, is suitable. This is because the image conveys an attitude
and allows the audience to know what response they should have to the image. The image
is also taken from a higher angle, and is not completely straight on. This also engages the
audience. Another factor that engages the audience is the fact the person is making eye
contact with the camera. Therefore this makes it look like they are making eye contact with
the person viewing the image.
30. Editing an image…
Editing an image, is done in many steps. Dependent on
what you want the image to look like. To edit the picture
on the left. I had to cut out the background. To do this I
used the magnetic lasso tool, it is fairly simple to use. As
you just follow the outline of the image, and the tool
picks up the edge of the image. Then you can select the
entire background, and press ‘delete’ to remove it. You
also have to make sure you are on the correct layer for
the image to allow editing to take place.
31. Editing an image…
For this image I used
on the front cover page, I wanted
to edit the edge of the photo to
have a glow. Therefore I used the
right hand side of the mouse, and
clicked on the image. Then clicked
on ‘edit layer style’ then on the
pop up window. I clicked on the
glow tool, which allows you to
alter the density, width etc. of the
glow around the outside of the
image.
32. Creating the masthead on Photoshop
1)To create the masthead, I again used the glow
tool to make it have definition on the page.
Firstly I chose the font and colour for the text.
3)I also added dots across the top of the page,
this helped to detract from the negative space
between the top of the page and the top of the
masthead.
2)I altered the positioning of the glow to be
offset, and made the glow black instead of white.
This also gave the masthead a sharper image.
4)I also added text underneath the masthead to
again detract from any negative space.
33. Editing text…
The text on the right hand side of
the
front cover is all aligned to the right
of the page. It is also edited in
different fonts, and different
colours being black and white. The
effects on the text also vary to one
another. This effect is created by
using the right hand mouse to click
on the text, then clicking on ‘edit
layer style’ then adjusting the
effects or removing them. For
example the image to the right
shows the ‘drop shadow’ settings
which can be altered in size,
distance and its opacity. Then when
you click ‘ok’ the effect is on the
image permanently.
34. Editing the image…
To create the balloon image for the feature page, I had to
cut around the outline of my original image, using the
magnetic lasso tool. Then I made more than one copy of
the image, which I then layered on top of one another to
create the image above. I also had crop some of the
images, therefore some of the balloons are cut out as a
single balloon, therefore it could be positioned where I
wanted it to be. The layers are very important and the
image to right of this page, shows where you can alter
which layer is at the top and which is at the bottom.
35. A few tips I learnt…
Firstly it is very important to make sure any lines, or
images are correctly aligned on the page. Therefore
to make sure it is, you can use a grid, which will
allow you to see where the lines etc. are positioned.
To get the grid up, you have to- click on ‘view’ at the
top of the page. .Then click on ‘show’, then click on
‘grid’. It is a simple and effective way of making sure
all your images and text within the page, is correctly
aligned.
36. A few tips I learnt…
To get the exact colour you want on Photoshop, is fairly simple. As you can click on
the colour option on the toolbar, and then you can use the mouse to select a colour
on the page, which will then be shown on the ‘colour picker’ (shown above). Then
you can click on ok and the colour will be on the toolbar image ready for you to use
to fill in a colour, or change the font colour etc.
37. Unused images,
& why?
• Although the styling of the image reflects
the R&B vibe, it is similar styling to the image
used for the front cover. Therefore it doesn’t
vary the images within the magazine.
• The camera angle is straight on, which
doesn’t give the image much variation.
Although the eye contact is strong, which
would connect with the audience.
• If the background was cut out, it would
enhance the overall image.
• The person is sitting on a stool, which
doesn’t look very R&B. It also doesn’t
match with the stylised image of the
woman.
• The shoes shown in the image are
unnecessary, and therefore I did not see it
could fit suitably within the page.
38. Unused images,
• Although the overall attitude
of the image is happy, it
doesn’t give the audience
much idea of attitude.
• The background, although it
could be cut out, would be
difficult, because the
balloons would need to be
kept.
• The styling of the person is
fairly relaxed, and not
necessarily conveying an R&B
vibe.
• Also the balloons look slightly
out of place, although the
outfit she is wearing is a fairly
relaxed, casual dancewear
style.
& why?
39. Unused images,
& why?
• The angling of the image, is fairly high
and therefore makes the woman look
very short.
• The feet in the image would also have to
be cut out, because the socks are
completely un-stylised within the image.
Which would therefore make the image
look unrealistic(without the feet).
• The image is not as strong as others, and
does not convey much attitude.
• The shadowing on the image, would make
it hard to cut out.
• Although she is making eye contact, it is
not directly towards the audience
readying the magazine.
42. Comparison of Front covers…
& what I have learnt
Making sure a magazine follows
some aspects of conventions, is
key. It makes it look much more
appealing and professional. After
researching into conventions, I
was able to do so.
In the development process I was
able to recognize good colour
combinations for a magazine. Also
from my questionnaire feedback I
gained and developed this
knowledge.
Make the image look stylised is
important, to engage the
audience. As it is what draws in
their attention when they first
glance at the magazine. It also
creats an ‘artists’ persona.
Alignment of the text is also
important, because it gives the
text structure, and makes the
overall appearance of the
magazine more neat.
I have also developed my
understanding, of creating
attitude within an image. Having
attitude within an image is all part
of drawing in the audiences
attention.
43. Comparison of Contents page’s…
& what I have learnt
Conventions such as putting the
text in columns, makes the overall
appearance of the magazine more
structured and professional. As
well as making it clearer for the
audience to read logically.
Variation within the page is also
important. It makes the page
more appealing, and breaks it up
a bit. It also shows the diversity of
subjects etc. that the magazine is
representing.
Continuing the colour scheme is
also very important, as it shows
the magazine house style. It also
shows order within the magazine,
and pride in there style.
Using modern terms such as ‘+’
engages and tells the audience
that the magazine is representing
and appealing to a modern and
young audience.
The images on the contents page,
are all important to draw in the
attention to the main features
within the magazine. I have learnt
that the images used tell an
audience a lot.
44. Developing the feature page…
As I had not previously made a
feature page for my preliminary
task, I gained information to
develop it from my research- for
example the questionnaire I
carried out.
I researched that Q&A was the
most common way for an article
to be set out. As it is straight to
the point, and also allows the
audience to engage in the artists
opinions/experiences.
Having the title of the article in
bold at the top of the page,
makes it stand out when the
consumer is flicking through the
pages.
Making the feature article look
‘fun’ and ‘playful’ makes it more
engaging for the audience to
read. As they know the subject
they will be reading is positive.
Making the layout of the page
spread out and logical, is
important because it doesn’t
make the text look to daunting for
the audience to read.
45. What I have learnt
& discovered throughout the process
The entire process was a complete learning curve, in which I was able to take and gather
ideas and develop on them. Doing the research and preliminary task at the beginning of the
task was a key factor in the final outcome of my magazine. This is because I was able to
improve immensely from the first examples I created for the school magazine. I learnt knew
skills in using Photoshop and knowing how to use the tools effectively. I now also have a
good understanding of attracting and appealing to your audience. Also the factors and
aspects of a magazine that make it work or follow conventions. Camera angles, style,
attitude, text, alignment, effects etc. are all key aspects that need to be taken into account
when creating a magazine- as these are the factors that will make it successful.
