Objectives<br />After attending this session you will be able to:<br />Compare Web 1.0 (Push) and Web 2.0 (Pull)<br />List at least five major online/social media tools<br />Contrast the needs of adult learners to the capabilities of online/social media <br />Select specific online/social media tools to help to facilitate each of the ADDIE (Assess, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate) process stages<br />Incorporate “lessons learned” from others who have applied new online/social media for professional purposes into your online/social media action plan<br />Brainstorm scenarios where online/social media technologies may be incorporated for staff development<br />
    4. 4. Hypothesis<br />Social media – not just for kids. The world of commerce and even the government have jumped on board. Facebook was started by a Harvard student for students. Some businesses have started using social media to facilitate communication and employee learning.<br />Social media is another tool, albeit potentially very powerful tool that supports most, almost all of the principles of adult learning.<br />
