1. Potential hazards Risk rating (low, medium, high) How we are going to control these risks
Fire- we are going to use fire as part of our storyline,
when the protagonist burns her boyfriends
belongings.
Our actress has a medium risk of being burnt or
injured because she will be close to flames so
monitoring this will be very important. However by
controlling this will reduce the risk rating to low.
We will ensure that we have water to put the fire
out just in case and monitor it if it gets out of
control. We will make sure that when our
protagonist is holding a picture and lighting it that
we put out the fire before it gets close to her hand.
We will make sure our actress’s hair is out of the
way to reduce any risk it catching fire and any item
of clothing isn't close to the flames. To do this we
will ensure our actress holds the picture on fire
away from herself.
Weather/ slippery surfaces This is medium risk as we will be filming during
September/October. The risk of slipping while
filming outside would be medium as we will be on
grass which gets slippery once wet. We will still
want to continue filming in these conditions as we
feel it will add to the feel of our music video being
sad. After raining we may all be wet and cold which
may increase the risk of getting ill, such as colds.
We will look up the weather before so that we can
come prepared. We will make sure we all have
umbrellas with us and coats so that if it does rain we
can keep dry. We will make sure that we are wearing
suitable shoes to prevent slipping. Before we go out
to film for real we can also do many practices so,
that we know exactly what we are doing and can get
it done as quickly as possible/accurately. This will
avoid unnecessary prolonged being in these
conditions.

2. Potential hazards Risk rating How we are going to control this
The general public The risk of seeing member's of the public in general
or walking there dogs in the field we plan to film is
medium to high, depending on the time and day we
plan to go. We need to consider this when taking
our footage to ensure we haven't filmed people in
the background. This could prevent us from being
able to film in that specific place in the field.
Our other settings we plan to film in have a low risk
of seeing member's of the public as we will be
filming in domestic places.
We will ensure we check the footage before we
leave to ensure we haven’t caught anyone in the
background of our shots. We will wait for people to
either move out our range of picture or we will find
somewhere more quiet to film.
While filming in domestic places we will ensure
that family and friends are told so we aren’t
disturbed.
Lack of water This would be Medium risk as a member of our
group may become dehydrated while we are out
for a long period of time. We will also be filming
quite far away from a place we can access water.
To prevent this we will ensure as a group that
we bring bottles of water.

3. Potential hazards Risk rating (low, medium and high) How we are going to control this
Water while our protagonist is shown with a shot
of her in the bath
There is a low to median risk of filming equipment
getting damaged or having slippery floor surfaces
due to the amount of water we will be using.
We will ensure that clear up any water which may
be spilt on the floor as soon as possible to reduce
the risk of any of us slipping. To ensure we don’t
damage our filming equipment we will film long
shots and close ups which aren’t hovering over the
water so if we did drop the equipment it wouldn’t
fall into the water.
Filming in the dark/tripping To add atmosphere to our music video we may
decide to film in the dark which will give a medium
to high risk of falling over objects.
We will make sure that before we film the floor is
clear and we use a torch light on our phone so that
we can see any objects in our way when getting
ready to film to reduce potential falling.
Make up/ irritation There is a low risk of our protagonist getting
irritation from make up that we use as it will be
very minimal/hardly any.
When we use make up we will ensure that we use
everyday makeup and no new products that our
protagonist hasn’t used before to reduce the risk of
irritation or reaction occurring. We will carry face
wipes in our bag while filming just in case.
