This document identifies several potential equipment hazards for a film shoot and proposes solutions to address them. It discusses hazards posed by a swing, side lamp, lighting, wind, costumes, setting grounds, nearby train tracks, and other people. Solutions include reinforcing the swing, planning lighting setups in advance, avoiding windy days, using appropriate footwear, and filming at times/locations to avoid interference from others. The overall goal is to anticipate any safety issues and take steps to prevent accidents during shooting.
1. Equipment Hazard Resolution
The swing The swing could
cause many
problems because
the characters
could fall off the
swing or the swing
could break.
To make this not
happen we will
make sure the
swing is safe and
not going to break
and make sure the
characters
themselves and
the swing are in
the right position
so the characters
will not fall.
Side lamp The side lamp
could cause a
hazard because
when the main
character turns the
light on she could
knock it off
because the room
will be dark.
To not let this
happen we will
make sure that the
main character
knows the exact
position of the
light and the
switch to turn it
on.
Lighting The lighting could
affect the scenes
when filming
because they
might be too light
or too dark.
To prevent this
from happening
we will decide on
which light we
would use for each
separate scene.
Wind The wind could
cause possible
hazards because it
could make the
swing move when
it is not meant to.
This will then
affect the ending
scene.
To stop this from
happening we will
make sure that we
don’t film the
scenes that include
the swing on a
very windy
day/night.
2. Costume The two girl
characters will be
wearing long
dresses. This could
cause a hazard
because they could
trip over the
dresses.
To prevent this
from happening
we will make sure
that the dresses
are long enough
but not too long
for them to fall
over them.
Setting The setting of the
opening could
cause a hazard
because the
ground could be
muddy. Therefore
the characters in
the scene could fall
over.
To make this not
happen we will let
the characters
wear black willies
or black boots that
have grip because
the characters in
this scene will be
wearing long
dresses and the
shoes will not be
noticeable.
Train Track The train track
behind the setting
could cause a
hazard because of
the noise of the
trains going past
could effect the
audio in the film.
The train track
could also cause a
hazard because it
is dangerous due
to the fact that the
actresses in this
setting are
children
To prevent these
hazards from
taking place we
will make sure that
we are not filming
constantly when
the train is going
past and keep a
look out that while
we are not filming
the children on the
swing they are not
any where near
the train track.
Other people The other people To stop this from
3. in the area could
cause a hazard
because the
location of the
opening is a public
other people could
be walking in the
scene.
happening we will
film the scenes
that are in this
setting at a certain
time when people
will not be walking
in the location.
