2. • I used a mix of formal and slang/street language to address the readers so they
can relate and enjoy reading more. I tried to make my magazine cover as eye
catching as possible using bright colours like yellow and including rappers logos.
My logo of the plug is black and a simple design but bold to stand out to the
reader for them to hopefully remember. I used a yellow glow behind my main
image to bring him off the page so he’s the main focus of the page other than the
Masthead. My model is wearing clothes and colours suitable for my chosen genre,
I also asked him to look directly at the camera to engage with the reader more. I
made my pug big with a famous rapper featured, this would hopefully draw my
target audience into purchasing my magazine. I made sure my contents page
included a range of content to make someone from my target audience would
want to buy the magazine to read more I did this by including competitions,
posters and interviews. In my double page spread I used an interview with my
main image model who happens to be white so this could mean more younger
white kids might relate to the artist. The article also gives the reader information
on “Elijah’s” new album and tour, so for anyone who's interested wouldn’t have
trouble finding his content
