companies advertise and try to sell a
product and service. You would usually
find advertising photographers
working with advertising agencies or
design firms.

3. Fashion Industry
Photography is used in he fashion
industry, much like advertisement. To
sell New products, highlight new
ranges and Pull people in. Examples of
these would be Vogue, Topman.

Demarchelier and Steven Meisel work
to advertise fashion line ups. To the

4. Music Industry
The music Industry use photography to
promote there music. By using it on
their Albums, Posters and Magazines.
You would usually see this at gigs and
festivals that the band or artists are
attending.
Now a days photographers would use
social networking sites and the
internet to spread the photos and
promote the music to a wider
audience.

Photography is used to promote
certain sport games and up and
coming events. This is show In the

Magazines/newspapers, On TV such as
Match Of The Day and Top Gear. These
sows our perfect for this type of
photography because they revolve
around certain Sports.

Neil Leifer and Bill Frakes would be
seen in the sports industry
6. Photo journalism
Photo Journalism is a particular form
of journalism. The photographer
collects and edits images in order to
tell a news story. This is usually
through images alone.
Timeliness — the images have
meaning in the context of a recently
published record of events.
Objectivity — the situation implied by
the images is a fair and accurate
representation of the events they
depict in both content and tone.
Narrative — the images combine with
other news elements to make facts
relatable to the viewer or reader on a
cultural level.
Some of the examples to the right are

Capa, Romano Cagnoni. These are of
memories of old news stories.
7. Fine Art Photography
Fine Art photography is created from
the vision of the photographer. This is
usually capturing a event which
provides a visual documentation
"Fine art photography": "A picture that
is produced for sale or display rather
than one that is produced in response
to a commercial commission"
The main photographer I was able to
find was Scott Mead. A well known
photographer for fine art.
