o Workers compensation including incident investigation, lodgement with state

o Salary reviews – yearly reviews of salary staff and ensuring compliance with Award
rates and provisions.
o Recruitment for all JAG roles in stores and head office based on required needs,
costs and timeframes. Included Designers, planners, national sales rep, buyers,
National Wholesale manager, store managers, assistant managers, sales consultants
and limited tenure sales consultants.

Key responsibilities
o First point of contact for all HR and ER enquires from store and head office staff,
retail managers to ensure best practice and procedures are followed.
o Responsible for recruitment of staff based on SABA / Sportscraft brand criteria,
geographical location from start to finish including sourcing, screening,
interviewing, references, offer and continued communication to applicants during
this process.
o Management of Workers Compensation cases including communication with all
relevant parties including injured worker/ medical practitioners/ insurer and
external parties. Recoup costs incurred and close association with accounts payable

o Yearly Salary reviews of all store management teams by state, region. Detailed

across SAP, ADP systems over this time.
o PageUp product expert for all HR and Retail team member.

My time as System Consultant exposed me to working with some of Australia’s largest

Recruitment system. The last 12 months of this role involved expansion of our current
product offering and functionality for Succession Management, Performance Management
and Talent Management. I was able to use my HR experience to pinpoint opportunities.

Recruitment Officer Coles Group HR Business Services NSW State Office Jan 2002- Jun 2006 & Dec 2006 – Apr 2008 Key Responsibilities o Recruitment for 150 NSW Coles Group stores including BiLo, Coles, First Choice, Kmart, Officeworks, Target. o Liaise with Store Managers and Regional Managers regarding sourcing strategies and current vacancies. o Organise advertising, interviewing and selection processes for recruitment campaigns o Interview applicants to determine job suitability through both group & 1 in 1 interview. o Prepare shortlists of candidates for referral to employers for final selection o Conduct reference checks for suitability of applicants before referral o Provide feedback to applicants on the outcome of their application o Prepare & facilitate Group Interviews for up to 80 applicants per session. o Communication with employers and applicants. o Prepare job descriptions & use these to create effective advertising o Utilise E-Recruitment tools for all vacancies (Page Up and One Test systems) o Training & ongoing coaching of new Recruitment Officers. o Career & Employment expo shows – preparation, logistics and review. o Management of 10 new stores recruitment from role identification, advertising, off site group interviews, offers and store opening. Achievements o Redeployment of Kmart Taree, Kmart Camden team members due to store closure.  Development of process strategy for team members to apply & be referred for consideration for internal roles within the immediate area.  Liaising & updating with Kmart HR on project progress. o Recruitment officer for hard to fill areas like Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. o Projects included creating job sourcing strategies & specific processes for Coles Express sites. Previous recruitment efforts of 5-6 positions per week. Within the first 6 months fills increased to 20-25 positions per week. o Assist in social club activities such as movie nights, dinners & Christmas party. o Safety Committee – Chullora site across 6 Coles Group brands
