Creation of the GS EP GEO 402
GIS (Geographic Information System) is a geographic data management
system, more and more used as an aid tool for decision making during the
development and operation activities.
GIS is now used during the project execution as a transverse geographic
database and a support tool for the engineering and operations
phases(See next slides).
This new GS provides requirements to be addressed to CONTRACTOR,
dealing with:
 GIS data to be delivered during Project execution, in line with the Project
Documentation GS EP PJC 702 “Requirements for electronic documents at project
execution and field operations phases”.
 GIS data to be provided as part of the Final Documentation, in line with the GS EP
PJC 703 « Contractor FINAL DOCUMENTATION requirements”.
