The document outlines the scope of work for a Geographical Information System (GIS) on the Student Activities and Athletic Facilities (SAAF) project at Sabah Al-Salem University City in Kuwait. The GIS scope includes: (1) creating GIS-compliant CAD drawings, (2) developing a geodatabase with feature classes, tables, and relationships from the drawings, (3) an asset database, and (4) GIS metadata, a dictionary, and a drawings matrix. The contractor is required to submit these deliverables according to the project specifications to create an enterprise GIS for planning, design, construction, and facility management of the SAAF project.

6. What is the GIS
But
• GIS is Computer systems and
programs that help answer
questions about things by
collecting Information's
For example from:
• Satellite Images
• Filed Survey
• Database
• Printed maps
• CAD Drawings
“Geo” = Earth
Geography is for study of the earth and where
things are
In very simple words:
GIS is the tools to handle any kind of data linked with
location in smart way

Technical Review
8. KUCP : Approves and Issues the updates and changes related to GIS ,
guidelines, Subsample, etc ..
Contractor SEG : Carryover the GIS Scope and submits all related GIS
submissions asper the approved communication matrix and as directed by
KUCP.
Subcontractors IFIX: The GIS Subcontractor is the main party in providing
the GIS Scope. The GIS Subcontractor will coordinate with all other discipline
subcontractors (Electrical, Mechanical, etc .. ) in order to ensure the
compliance with the GIS requirements and to minimize the comments.
The contractor will assign a coordinator who will be responsible to follow-up
the progress of the contractor GIS Works and to represent him in all GIS
technical/progress meetings.
A/E, SOM-GC: Supervision Consultant reviews the Contractor Submissions
and forward it toTP/OW for final review and approval.
TP/OW : Final Approval for all Contractor GIS Submissions.

14. GIS scope in KUCP Projects
1 - Converting and storing all project data in GIS System
• The master Plan of Sabah Al Salem University City Project (SSUC) included the
creation of enterprise GIS System that allows capturing, storing, managing and
publishing GIS data to meet the project requirements.
2 - 2D & 3D visualization
• The Enterprise GIS System allows 2D & 3D visualization of Master Plan, Colleges
including floor plans and structural features, progress reporting using time slider. It
allows space plan and utilization based on by size, type, and even proximity of the
facilities for equipment's and university staff.
3 - utilities and Asset Management
• The Enterprise GIS System Developed for Sabah Al Salem University City Project is
primarily developed using Esri Desktop and ServerTechnologies. The solution is an
integration of web based and desktop application using software from ESRI,Telvent
GIS i.e. ArcFM for electric and water utilities,Telecordia Network Engineer forTelecom
Utility and Archibus for Space Management, Move Management,Asset Management
and Building Operations.
