LIFE JACKETS AND IMMERSION SUITS SPESIFICATIONS
• The purpose of this document is to define the rules to be applied for
the selection of any personal floating device (immersion suits, anti-
exposure suits, life-jackets and work vests) for offshore installation’s
evacuation, transfer of personnel by watercraft between watercrafts
and/or fixed offshore structures and overboard jobs.
Purpose:
• The provisions of this document apply in all Operated Exploration-
Production subsidiaries, whenever national rules and regulations
either fail to cover the subject or are less biding.

OBJECTIVES
The objective of the revision 04 of this Company Rule is as follows :
• To update applicable rules :
– International Rules applicable for escape and evacuation
– Internal Rules applicable for personnel transfer and for working overboard.
• To update specifications of personal floating devices for :
– Escape and evacuation
– Personnel transfer by watercraft to and from installations/ watercrafts
– Work overboard.
BENEFITS OF THIS GS UPDATE :
• The revision of the GS makes the requirements clear, helping to avoid personnel interpretations and
brining harmonization to all affiliates
• Reduce and optimize the amount of the derogations requests
• Update with products in line with best practices and BAT (Best Available Technologies).
