This document summarizes a study on the influence of the quiz application Quizizz on students' mastery of the present perfect tense. The study involved students at SMKN 1 Natar high school in South Lampung, Indonesia. Tests were given to experimental and control groups before and after the experimental group used Quizizz activities in their English lessons. Statistical analysis using SPSS was used to analyze the data and determine if there was a significant influence of Quizizz on present perfect tense mastery. The results of this study can provide information on whether Quizizz is effective for teaching grammar.

English is by far the most frequently spoken
of the 4,000 to 5,000 living languages.
On the other hand, there are 300 million
native English speakers on every continent.
4. Grammar is a theory of language of how language is
put together and how it works. So, grammar is the
study of the classes of words.
5. Every language, including English, has grammar;
nevertheless, the grammatical rules of English differ from
those of Indonesian.
6. When learning grammar, there is one thing we must not
overlook, it is Tense, The Tense is a category that
expresses the passage of time.
In this research, the researcher focuses
on Present Perfect Tense

past and continues to the present

8. After doing preliminary research on SMKN 1 Natar by
interviewing the teacher there.
Obtained information that the student's mastery of
present perfect tense is still low.
9. Identification of the Problem :
• The Students are not familiar with English
due to the dominance of their mother
tongue
• The Students have a very little schedule for
English subject
• The Students still make mistakes to put the
right verb in the sentence
• The students often feel bored in class
• The students still consider grammar is
difficult to learn
10. The researcher believes Quizizz is an application that
could be used to help students overcome their
problems. the researcher intends to employ Quizizz in
this study.
Quizizz is a student engagement tool that has a variety
of features to make classroom activity more enjoyable
and engaging.

• if you host the game you will be given a link for your student and a game code for them to play.

The methodology that will be used in this research is the
Quantitative method, with True Experimental Design as its design
Quantitative research methods focus on objective measurements and statistical, mathematical, or
numerical analysis of data acquired through polls, questionnaires, and surveys, as well as modifying pre-
existing statistical data using computing tools.

• Population is a generalization area consisting of

• Population in this research is all the students of
the tenth grade of SMKN 1 Natar South
Lampung in the first semester of the Academic
Year of 2021/2022.
• In conducting this research, the researcher will
take the sample by using simple random
sampling. There will be two groups they are
experimental group and the control group both
groups will be chosen randomly.

Normality Test
Ho: the data are normal distribution
Ha: the data are not normally distribution
While the criteria for acceptance of the
normality test are as follows:
Ho is accepted if Sig (P-value) > α = 0.05
Ha is accepted if Sig (P-value) < α = 0.05
Fulfillment of the Assumptions
Homogeneity Test
The hypotheses are:
Ho: the variance of the data is homogeneous
Ha: the variance of the data is not
homogeneous
While the criteria for acceptance of the
homogeneity test are as follows:
Ho is accepted if Sig (P-value) > α = 0.05
Ha is accepted if Sig (P-value) < α = 0.05

In this case, the researcher will use statistical computation by using SPSS
(Statistical Package for Social Science)
The hypotheses are:
Ho: there is no significant influence of using Quizizz towards students’ present
perfect tense mastery
Ha: there is a significant influence of using Quizizz on students’ present perfect
tense mastery
While the criteria of acceptance for the hypothesis are as follows:
