2. Almighty Father Heaven, we are grateful for the blessing of life we have
today, especially for granting us this beautiful opportunity to lay
everything unto thee as I defend my thesis. May you grant everyone
compassionate hearts and understanding minds and regardless of the
outcome of this study, we acknowledge it as your will. Give us enough
faith to face the hardship and challenges in this world. May your
guidance and blessing be bestowed upon us throughout this evening.
Please forgive all of our sins. We ask this in the name of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ.
Amen
4. Assessment of learning focuses on the development and
utilization of assessment tools to improve the teaching-learning
process. It emphasizes the use of testing for measuring
knowledge, comprehension, and other thinking skills. As part of
the overall evaluation process, we need specifically to find out if
the learners are learning or changing behavior as a result of
teaching. This will show teachers whether the teaching has been
effective, which is ultimately the most important issue. It also
means finding out what learning is taking place as well as
specific knowledge and skills (Gabuyo, 2013).
5. Classroom assessment is an integral part of curriculum
implementation. It allows the teachers to track and measure
learners' progress and to adjust instruction accordingly.
Classroom assessment informs the learners, as well as their
parents and guardians, of their progress. (DepEd Order No. 5 s.
2015)

2.2.1. validity;
2.2.2. reliability;
2.2.3. transparency;
2.2.4. fairness;
2.2.5. inclusiveness and
2.2.6. equitability?
3. Based on the findings of the study, what quality control criteria
should language teachers need to formulate to ensure a high-quality
assessment in each specific assessment?

10. This study will attempt to discover and unveil facts
about assessment practices and strategies employed by
teachers in teaching the English language only. It will also
focus on determining the way how the practices and
strategies are utilized by the teachers in line with the
elements of quality assessment. It will describe the
phenomenon more focused on its ‘what” aspects and not on
the “why”.
11. Since the variables under investigation can be used to
establish generalizable facts, the current study will employ
the quantitative type of research which will utilize
observations recorded as numbers and surveys with closed-
ended questions and will not involve such instruments as
interviews with open-ended questions, observations
described in words, and literature reviews that explore
concept and theories.
12. This study will be conducted within District I and District II of
Mulanay, Mulanay, Quezon, all teachers teaching English subject
will serve as respondents and the data from the assessments will
be taken from the results of their respective students in the
subject. This will only be focused in this area, in the contents
describing the subject under investigation, with the respondents
cited, and the output of the study will be limited to the findings.
The time frame of the study will be from October 2023 to May
2024.
13.
14. • The researcher will utilize quantitative research design
specifically descriptive survey.
• This is the most appropriate design because the study involves
the description of the population of a phenomenon which can
obtain measurable data to analyze the variables involved in the
study.
• It also attempts to collect quantifiable information for
statistical analysis of the population sample.
15. • The study will be conducted in Mulanay District I and District II
in the Division of Quezon.
• This locale was chosen because it has the largest school with
an assessment problem that was identified through the MPS
results of the English subject over the preceding three years,
with an average gap of 14% to 25% out of the 80% target Mean
Percentage Score.
16. • The study will use the purposive sampling technique in
choosing the respondents of the study.
• The total population of English Teachers in Mulanay Districts
Iand II is 56 which constitutes the required number of
respondents in this study.
18. • Formulation of the closed questions for the survey questionnaire
• Validation
• Revision and finalization
• Seeking permission from the Division Superintendent, Public Schools
District Superintendent, and Principals
• Seeking ethical considerations
• Conduct the research survey
• Analysis of the results and findings
• Formulation of the research output
• Ratifying output by the validators and experts
• Constructing the output
• validation
• Final Output
19. • Weighted Arithmetic Mean
• Independent t-test and one-way ANOVA.
• 4 point Likert Scale
20. • Ensure that the respondents of this study will voluntarily participate and have the right
to withdraw their participation at any stage of the conduct of the study.
• Inform sufficient information
• Ensure Sensitivity and avoid offenses.
• The researcher has also secured the confidentiality of the personal data of the
respondents in adherence to Republic Act 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
