Since the preliminary task I feel
like I have learnt a lot from the
creation as from my front cover I
have been able to edit an image
using tools such as the spot
healing brush, also I have been
able to use the effects that are
available on Photoshop such as
adding drop shadows and outer
glows to text to make them stand
out from the page. Thus I believe
that I have learnt a lot since the
preliminary task.

From the start of the process I
have learnt many new techniques
when creating my contents page,
an example of this is using the
pen tool on Photoshop to remove
the background from the image,
also in Photoshop I was able to
create an overlay giving a burnt
look. Also using quark has
enabled me to get my text into
columns and I have learnt how to
use the software effectively.

4. Double Page SpreasDouble Page Spreas
When I started to create my double page spread I used many of the tools
that were available to me such as the brightness tool, I used this to
enhance the images. Also I was able to use the brush tool to create the
cloud effect background for the double page spread. In Quark I was able
to use the ruler guides which enabled me to get my columns the correct
width, thus I now am knowledgeable of both pieces of software and also
the camera as I had to use this to take the images and I am now able to
use all features on the camera.
