Idealism believes in inner discipline
(discipline of mind / body).
Freedom of child should be restricted.
Freedom does not mean liscense , it
implies responsibility and should be the
result of discipline. (Qualified Freedom)
Discipline should be impressionist ie,
teacher should give good personal
examples of behaviour and conduct.
Human behaviour should have internal
control rather than external once like
praise and punishment. (Self discipline)
IDEALISM AND TEACHER
Teacher has a very crucial role in idealism.
Teacher’s personality is of vital influence
on the education of the child.
Teacher is the pivot (centre) of the
education process.
Most important function of a teacher is to
guide the student towards perfection.
Teacher is a role model (Working model).
2. Teacher should command respect rather
than demand respect.
Teacher must be friend , philosophers and
guide.
Teacher is a gardener (Froebal).
Teacher leads the child to self realisation.
