This document provides information about upcoming events at the school for the week of April 24th including: a school council meeting on April 24th, junior high badminton competitions on April 25th, a junior high drama club play on April 25th and 27-28th, senior badminton zones on April 26th, an early dismissal on April 26th, grade 8 badminton in Fort Saskatchewan on April 29th, and the grade 9 LA PAT on May 9th. It also includes the weekly lunch menu and reminders about returning forms, registering for post-secondary programs and scholarships, and signing up for RAP and apprenticeship programs.

14. Blue Ridge Lumber /Ranger Board each give an
annual scholarship of $1,000.00 to students who are
continuing their education.
They are available to high school graduates from
Whitecourt, Mayerthorpe, and Barrhead areas?
They are NOT necessarily awarded to the graduate
with the highest marks

U of A North Campus Rural Discovery Day
Friday, May 5, 2017
This is an especially great opportunity for Grade 10
and 11 students to get a head start in exploring the U
of A. You will have the opportunity to choose
interactive sessions related to your areas of interest.
You will need to individually register
at uab.ca/rdd by May 1, 2017.

16. Guaranteed Residence Deadline
Apply for residence.
First year students who apply by April 30, 2017 are
guaranteed a spot. Learn more and apply at

17. OFF-CAMPUS EVALUATIONS
Work experience evaluations were distributed last
week, either to students or to your employers
directly.
Check with Ms Wegner if you have not seen your
evaluation.
RAP students, some of you are probably due for
evaluations, please hand in time sheets so these can
be completed.

18. CONSIDERING APPRENTICESHIP?
Grade 10 and 11 students - Sign up for RAP by June,
so we can count your summer hours.
Very important for grade 12 students to do this in
order to qualify for the $1000 RAP scholarship.
If you are not sure about apprenticing yet, but plan
to work in the trade, let Ms Wegner know, you may
qualify for the $1000 CTS scholarship.

19. RAP STUDENTS
If you have not already done so, please set up your
AIT account through Tradesecrets.
You need this set up in order to register for your
technical training and receive scholarships.
This is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT.
