6. Summer Off-Campus
If you are in grades 9 – 11 or will be a returning grade
12 and have a summer job, you should consider
using it for work experience credit.

9:00 in Room 56E. Requirements and paperwork will

Reminder to all team members to bring in

Athletics Award Night
The Senior High Athletics Award Night is
scheduled for Thursday, June 8th at
6:00pm. Expect the sign up for the
potluck in the coming weeks.

Girls Volleyball Tryouts
Girls volleyball tryouts for the 2017 season are
scheduled after school for June 7th, 8th, 14th, 15th and
if needed the 21st. Any female athletes who will be
enrolled in high school for the 2017/18 school year
and are interested in playing Junior or Senior
volleyball are welcome to attend.

17. Health Care Aide 2017-18
• Already registered, you will receive more information
soon.
• 6 spaces available. Interested? See your school
counselor or admin. for more info. ASAP!!
• Obtain 25 grade 12 CTS credits & a NorQuest College
certificate.
• You need a minimum of English 10-1 or 20-2.
• Great option for students graduating, taking a year off,
or needing to upgrade.
• With more seniors than children in Canada, this is a
promising career option.
• Wages start at close to $20/hr.

Ms Wegner will be handing the application forms out
this week to students who are eligible.
Speak with her if you are thinking you may be eligible
for one.

An area business is willing to take on apprentices:
• Parts Technician
• Automotive Service Technician
You must have your driver’s license and a vehicle.
This will first start as a work experience placement.
