For the weeks of December 3 - 11th we will be gathering food
for the FCSS Food Bank – bring food to your block 1 class.
Non-perishable items like:
• Pasta (canned or dry) and pasta sauces.
• Canned meats and fish.
• Meat alternatives (peanut butter, soy, assorted nuts)
• Canned goods (beans, soups, and stews)
• Dairy (canned, and powdered milk)
• Canned vegetables and fruit.
• Whole grain cereals.
• Infant foods and baby formula.
The class with the most food wins bragging rights!

Background
While many people in the world do not ascribe to any religion (they may be
secular, agnostic, or atheist), many people do identify with some form of
organized belief system. Some of the largest and most internationally
widespread belief systems include Hinduism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and
Buddhism.
Regardless of what belief system one may hold (if any), everyone deserves to
be treated respectfully; no one person (or religion) is better than any other,
and sometimes our differences should be celebrated as we learn from each
other!

November timesheets are due now.
Some students still have not handed in their work
experience evaluations from November. If you
lost your form, see Ms Wegner for another one.
Evaluations make up 55% of your work
experience mark, so it is important to return
them.

17. Introductory Accounting
Planning on entering into a business program
after you graduate?
You should consider taking Ms Wegner’s intro
accounting course. It will greatly help you first semester
in your first accounting class. Seriously, no kidding, make
your first semester easier by have some basic knowledge.
You can start now or wait until second semester. It is self-
directed and if you put in six hours a week during a spare
or after school or weekends, you can complete it within a
couple of months or less and also earn four credits.

Alberta grade 11 students are invited to get away
and experience a Top 5 university in Canada. Your
adventure will include transportation
reimbursement, accommodation, and a weekend of
exciting events. Only 20 spots are available for this

21. Feature Program: Science Internship Program
A student in the Faculty of Science has the
opportunity to explore career options during their
degree with the integrated Science Internship
Program (SIP) and gain real-world work experience
during graduation. Students in all science programs
are eligible to participate in paid and supervised
work terms that range from 4, 8, 12 or 16 months.

This is a one-of-a-kind program in Alberta,
providing additional support to students.
If all requirements of the program are completed,
with a 2.3 GPA at graduation, and career-related
employment is not secured within 6 months of
graduation, or unable to move on to a professional
program or grad studies, students are eligible to
return for an extra year of undergraduate classes for
FREE

25. Scholarships and Awards
You receive an entry scholarship for 75% average
and better, if you apply prior to April 1 deadline.
These are renewable each year you attend as long as
you maintain the average or better.
General Awards are competitive and the deadline is
January 15. You must fill out the online application

Lethbridge College Centre Core
• Take a tour of the campus
• Speak with a faculty member or a representative from academic

Architectural Animation Technology
This two-year diploma program will provide specialized
knowledge and visual communication skills required for a
successful career in the world of architecture. Students will be
required to complete a practicum during their time in the program
to ensure they are industry ready.
Virtual & Augmented Reality
Virtual Reality (VR) is the latest emerging technology being used within
many different industries, and Lethbridge College is preparing students
for these industry opportunities with this one-year certificate. While
working with a team of VR specialists, students will be given the
opportunity to put their classroom learning into practice
