3. • Risk assessment is used to describe a method by which we :
• Identify the hazards and risk factors that have the potential to cause harm
(hazard identification).
• Analyze and evaluate the risk associated with that hazard (risk analysis,
and risk evaluation).
• Determine appropriate ways by which we can eliminate the hazard or
control the risk when the hazard cannot be eliminated (risk control).

4. A Job Risk Analysis (JRA) is a procedure done:
• To help integrate accepted safety and health principles and practices into a
particular task or job operation.
• While Risk Assessment is a systematic process of evaluating the
potential risks that may be involved in a projected activity or undertaking.
