Position: Human Resources Executive.
 Developing and building a forward looking HR policy for the changing needs of the
organization.
 Maintain new joinee documentation and all other formalities.
 Formulating documentation policy for the company & implementing it in the Kolkata,
Durgapur & Siliguri Press.
 Evaluating salary and stipend for the office staff and press labour.
 Preparing various reports as per the Management requirement.
 Maintaining employee’s leave application and attrition records.
 Generating and maintaining ESIC & PF records.
 Coordinate office events & functions.

 Assisted in certain HR activities like coordinating campusing and interviews.
 Maintained new joinee documentation and other formalities.
 Maintained payslip, leave application & attrition records.
 Maintained statutory records like Trade lincense, Webel, RBI, Softex, TDS, Labour
Commission, STPI.
 Maintained EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Mediclaim, PTax filing and documentation.
 Negotiated with Bank for conversion rate & coordinated with Bank for transfer of
fund to Salary A/c.
 Handled vendors, customers & other payments.
 Coordinated the office events & functions.
 Maintained office facility and housekeeping.

Position: Intern
ProjectBrief : A study on the efficiency of the recruitment & selection process and job
evaluation process followed by the company.
Observations:
During the project work, I have found that potential candidates are generated through the
modern techniques of recruitment, like the job portals, placement agencies and employers
reference. As there is no fixed number of interview rounds, it depends on the job profile,
therefore it is time consuming.
The appraisal method followed by the company was strong enough, but the feedback of
individual training provided based on the TNA was not so fruitful and it lost its importance as
the employees got busy with their routine job.
Improvements:
To improve the employees appraisal method, I have Formulated a Training Need Analysis (TNA)
sheet on the basis of the Key Result Area (KRA) form and a feedback form for the employees of
the Bangladesh office. Analysis of data was made from the information collected by from the
Recruiters of the company. This will help the HR in tracking the employees improvement level.
Key Learning:
During the course of project, there was a lot of learning for me as I was able to have a holistic
view about the HR strategies and policies employed by Emami Ltd. I learned the importance of
teamwork and also that persistent efforts pay good results. I improved my inter-personal skills
by taking interviews by meeting them in person and over the telephone. Further, I learned to
adapt quickly, to the changing requirements of my work.
