Formed in 2009 from merger of Department of Primary
Industries, State and Regional Development, Energy
Division of former Department of Water and Energy
Partner agencies are Tourism NSW, NSW Food Authority,
Screen NSW, Forests NSW, Rural Assistance Authority,
Game Council of NSW and Mine Subsidence Board
Aims of the Department are to attract investment to NSW
and support industries by offering technical expertise and
scientific capabilities
