A philosophy… the four tenets to create a conscious business.
An organization…
Conscious Capitalism: A movement aimed at freeing the heroic spirit of entrepreneurship
CCI: A non profit organization focused on changing the way business is practiced and perceived globally
CCNNV: Part of a global chapter network. Our purpose is to advance the understanding and practice of CC in NNV. We’re creating a local community of conscious capitalists, we’re providing education and we’re connecting people with resources to help them practice CC.

A call to adventure…. What if we changed the narrative of business? What if we changed the way business is practiced? What if we changed the way business is perceived?
First by sharing the conscious capitalist credo… if that resonates… then
By introducing individuals and leaders to the tenets of conscious capitalism
Then by helping them intregrate these principles into their role, the way they lead, and the way their business operates
Introduce 12 steps
Higher purpose is your company’s reason for existence apart from profit. It’s a definitive statement about the difference you’re trying to make.
Ask: What’s the benefit of having a higher purpose?
Glue that holds org together
Magnet that attracts the right people
Reduces friction within org. and its ecosystem
Gives energy and relevance to org and people
Feel good about what youre doing and why you’re investing time, energy and money
Greater levels of creativity, collaboration, diligence, etc.
Without it:
Lost identity
Process over purpose – people fee like cogs in the machine.
Simon Sinek, Author – Start With Why and Leaders Eat Last
Stakeholder Integration – it’s a way of thinking. A mindset.
Orientation of stakeholder versus shareholder – focusing on the good of the system
It’s taking a long-term versus short-term view
It’s relational instead of transactional
Primary stakeholders 5-7/ secondary handful
Primary are almost always customers, employees, shareholders/investors (if applicable)
Maybe environment, suppliers, vendors – depending on business
Others: Community, government, etc.
