My objective this morning is to stir up your pure minds with some ideas and
restore faith in you that :
This nation and by extension the African continent can develop and is able to
find its voice in the committee of nations
It is possible to have home-grown businesses that will have global reach and
impact it's local communities
That is possible to raise up young business leaders with new set of values that
will drive business, community and national transformation

Unfortunately African People Have Been Driven By Scarcity Mentality Over The
Years But Now It's Time To Change Course And Plot A New Direction And Your
Generation Will Lead This Change

1. From Poverty to Wealth Focus
Changing from the paradigm of " POVERTY
ERADICATION" to WEALTH CREATION“
Poverty focus causes the recipient to so
dependent on external support for DAILY
SUBSISTENCE only
Whereas Wealth creation focus causes the
recipient to have a mind-set of " HOW CAN I
ENHANCE THE VALUE OF WHAT I HAVE with
or without the help of external support.
It causes the recipient of such support to
become self reliant faster than the previous
African Leadership has been focusing on
Poverty at the center if its policies but still the
continent has remained poorer and poorer
2. From Money Making Problem Solving
Changing from a mind-set that says " I AM IN
BUSINESS TO MAKE MONEY" to " I AM IN
BUSINESS TO SOLVE PROBLEMS AND ADD
VALUE TO HUMANITY
Money is a reward for Services rendered
Money is a reward for problem solved
7. You need Understand the following:
The problem that infuriates you most could be a clue to the problems you have been
designed to solve
The people that unlock your compassion are the people you have been sent to.
The challenges that confronts you gives you a clue to the challenges you must overcome
and help others to overcome based on what you have learnt.

How can I enhance the quality of what I have?
How can we improve the way certain services are being rendered?
How can I enhance the WORTH of what we have?
How can I preserve the lifespan of the material that I have?
How can I increase my earning power?
How can I do much more with very little?
How can accomplish more with little money?
How can I multiply my income?
In a crowded business landscape with too many competition, the PERSON or COMPANY
that will have the edge is one that has differentiated product or services as it's value
proposition
THE QUESTION: How will you differentiate yourself in the market place? What additional
value is your business or your contribution going to be.
You need to understand that THE MINDSET OF VALUE CREATION POSITIONS YOU AND YOUR
BUSINESS FOR MARKET PLACE LEADERSHIP
The businesses of the future that will cause an
acceleration of the growth of Ghana and Africa must be
that which is Focused on CREATING VALUE

The market place is simply a platform of exchange of goods and services
In the market place, there is always someone who has something to offer in
exchange for something that he needs.
The Law of Exchange states that Everything you will have in life and in
the market place will be in an exchange for something that you
currently have even if it's in a potential form.
10. THREE (Ds) DIMENSION TO UNLOCKING YOUR POTENTIAL
DISCOVER IT
Your potential is who you can be but you are not yet, therefore let yourself go
It is what you can do that you have not yet done, therefore roll up your sleeves and get it done
DEVELOP IT
Your innate abilities and skills needs to be developed through training and knowledge.
You can increase the value of your potentials only if your develop it
Developing your personal and business potentials takes time and consistent effort.
Developing your potential requires Focus
Developing your potential requires discipline and sacrifice - Delayed Gratification
THERE IS ALWAYS A PRICE TO EVERY PRIZE
DEPLOY IT
Your potential will never see the light until you put it to use
Do not be afraid to start small.
The force of FAITH and COURAGE is required to overcome Inertia
There will never be a perfect time to get started. If you've got to start somewhere I say here.
Failed effort is part of the process of maturing your potential. Failed effort is part of the journey to success.
You may have come to this world NAKED however you did
not come EMPTY, You came LOADED but you must make
up your mind to die EMPTY and Unleash your Potential
11. PASSION ALONE IS NOT ENOUGH - Add Skills to your
passion.
A HOBBY is define as an arrear of passion for which you
have developed some skills although you don't get to
be paid from it.
A JOB is what you have developed skill for and has
become your source of livelihood even though you MAY
not have a passion for it
A CAREER is your life passion for which you have
developed the requisite skill and from which you derive
a source of livelihood
You must find the
INTERSECTION between your
PASSION, your SKILLS and the
opportunities in the MARKET
12. The Bigger Your Vision, the Bigger your chances of success
The size of your Vision Defines your limit of Success.
It doesn't matter what you have or what you don't have as long as you can see
what could have
You must DREAM AND THINK BIG however you must not be afraid to START
SMALL but you must resolve to GROW FAST!
The market place is a fight but it is a fight of faith
After all that has been said, there is role that Vision and
Faith plays in your journey to success in the market place
