Amey is a leading support services provider in UK, managing the vital infrastructure and
business services that practically everyone relies on a day to day basis. Working for
customers like Aviation, Central Government, Defense, Education, Local Government, Rail,
Strategic Highways etc.
Roles & Responsibilities:
My role was to provide day-to-day advice, fault resolution, system enhancements and
corrections in SAP HR covering PA, OM, PY and TM as detailed below:
 Support periodic audits of HR SAP master data for accuracy and completeness, and
propose actions for correcting errors and reducing future error rates.
 Support the scope, planning and testing of system changes for SAP User Acceptance
Testing (UAT).
 Develop and design HR SAP reports and related instructions and produce non-standard
reports as required, using both SAP reporting tools and Microsoft Office products.
 Responsible for guiding internal customer groups in configuring all HR modules.
 Support HR data migration using LSMW and DTT for new TUPE'S from the legacy
systems to SAP.
 Hold regular forums with key users to review and improve the efficient operation of HR
SAP across Amey.
 Use of Remedy tool for all issue resolution.
 Support day-to-day team activities.
Module  Personnel Administration(PA) and Organisation Management(OM)
 Defined the Enterprise Structure, Personnel Structure and Pay Scale Structure for the
enterprise and linked the Pay Scale and Enterprise Structures.
 Configured user parameters and the number range intervals for personnel numbers.
 Maintained the features to default the values like PINCH- administrator group, NUMKR-
number ranges for personnel numbers, ABKRS- payroll area default, IGMOD- info group
modifier.
 Customized the basic settings for Personnel Administration.
 Customized personnel actions for different scenarios.
 Customized personnel actions and the reason for change in personnel actions.
 Configured and maintained the master data of the company using the transactions PA30
and PA40.
 Created and configured the Org Structure and built all the valid relationships using
transaction codes PPOCE and PPOME.

 Configured various wage types required for payroll processing.
 Defined employee subgroup and personnel sub area for the primary wage types.

 Configured the Public Holidays and Holiday Calendar according to client requirements.
 Configured the Work Schedules like Break, Daily, Periodic Work Schedule and

 Maintained the feature SCHKZ for defaulting work schedule rule.
 Maintained the features like TMSTA to default time management status in 0007 info type.
 Configured Attendance/Absence types and time quotas.
 Configured Counting rule and Deduction Rule as per the client requirement.

 Worked as a contractor for various UK/India organisations like John Radcliffe Hospital,
Oxfordshire Primary Care, Nuffield Orthopedic Centre, Bedfordshire County Council and

 Receive and relay oral and written messages promptly and accurately and take

 To produce offer letters of appointment using the agreed standards as laid down in current
guidelines and ensuring that all letters comply with organizational policy.
 To ensure that medical clearance, references and police checks are undertaken and work
permits obtained in accordance with PCT policy.
 To ensure that any special conditions applicable to the appointment are applied.
 To check staff appointment forms and all related paperwork required by the payroll
department.
 Compile personal file for each individual ensuring that all appointment records are
accurately documented.
 To coordinate, update and collate information and present as reports, charts, tables,
databases or appropriate formats.
 Accurate data entry onto the HR database.
 To undertake any other ad hoc tasks, commensurate with the role and the grade, to
