6. Granuloma
Histologis
Kista
Lateral Cyste
‐ Tdpt spjg tepi permukaan akar gigi, lateral cyste
‐ Biasanya sisa lateral abses dari sulcus
gingiva
‐ Mungkin jg tjd akibat dr radang
yang meluas dari pulpa ke arah apical
atau samping

14. WHO‐Classification
of Cyst of the Jaws
Inflammatory
Radicular cyst apical and lateral
Residual cyst
Paradental cyst
Inflammatory collateral cyst
15. Classification of Cysts
based on the Supposed Origin is hardly usefull
because :
Retrospective studies lack accutrate data
Mostly relying on two‐dimensional radiographs
There are multiple epithelial source from which cysts
may develop
19. Nasopalatine duct /
incisive canal cysts
Canalis incisivus
merupakan pertemuan
dari kedua processus
palatinus lateralis dan
processus palatinus
anterior
23. Globulo Maxillary Cysts
‐ terletak antara incisivus 2 dan caninus atas
‐ menyebabkan divergensi akar‐akar gigi tsb
‐ pulpa gigi masih vital
‐ tdk dijumpai cholesterol
24. Definisi:
Kista yang terbentuk pada akar gigi,
berasal dari sisa‐sisa epitel malassez atau dari
granuloma gigi yang karena adanya iritasi
kronis berkembang menjadi suatu kista.
Terletak pada apikal, lateral gigi penyebab
dan kista yang tertinggal disebut kista
residual.
41. Residual Cyst
A true cyst inadvertently left behind during
extraction of a tooth. May be of apical
(inflammatory) or dentigerous (developmental)
origin. Surgical removal will cure this lesion.
Etiology: Iatrogenic
Location(s): Either jaw
Clinical Features: Usually none; may be jaw
swelling if very large.
Radiographic Features: Radiolucency
Microscopic Features: True cyst
Complications: None
Treatment: Surgical removal
Prognosis: Will not recur with complete
removal
Pathogenesis: Cyst left behind during removal
of associated tooth.
44. Branchial Cleft Cysts
‐ Timbul di pertumbuhan yg tdk sempurna
dr branchial cleft pd waktu embrio
‐ terjadi pada umur 20‐25 th / usia lanjut
‐ permukaan licin berbenjol
‐ palpasi terasa kenyal
45. Thyroglossal duct cyst
‐ Linea mediana dari leher
‐ Pembengkakan pd garis tengah leher di
sekitar glandula thyroidea
‐ Bila menelan kista ikut bergerak ke atas
46. Eruption Cyste
‐ letak lebih superficial
‐ konsistensi lunak,
‐ warna kebiru‐biruan
‐ lapisan epitel lebih tipis
66. Kista dentigerous
‐ Kista yang berasal dari epitel Malassez
‐ Biasanya terdapat bersama gigi impaksi
Tanda‐tanda klinis :
‐ Tidak sakit
‐ Berkembang lambat
‐ Merusak tulang
‐ Menyebabkan malposisi gigi
‐ Menimbulkan deformitas wajah
67. Penyebab :
‐ Infeksi kronis
‐ Delayed erupsi gigi permanen
‐ Persistensi gigi anak
‐ Penyakit sistemik
82. Dilakukan enukleasi

‐ dinding epitel squamous kompleks
‐ unilokuler
‐ multilokuler
87. Primordial cyst
An epithelial-lined jaw cyst appearing as a radiolucency in the alveolar
process unassociated with a tooth; depending on their lining, some are
difficult to remove; complete surgical excision will cure this cyst.
Etiology: Odontogenic epithelium
Location(s): Either jaw
Clinical Features: None; may be jaw expansion with large lesions
Radiographic Features: Radiolucent lesion unassociated with a tooth
Microscopic Features: True epithelial-lined cyst; may be keratinized.
Complications: May recur if keratinized; ameloblastoma may develop.
Treatment: Surgical removal
Prognosis: Does not recur with complete removal
Pathogenesis: Stimulation of odontogenic epithelium
88. Dermoid dan

kadang di dsr mulut
minggu ke‐3 atau ke‐4 pada
waktu embrio
89. Dermoid cysts

Distribusi Ranula
Ranula pada wanita > pria (Ratio p:w = 1:1,2)
R. terselam pria > wanita (Ratio p:w = 1:0,74)
Ranula superficial sisi kiri > kanan
(Tidak jelas diketahui mengapa demikian)
94. Lanjutan RANULA
Rekurensi ranula
Jumlah rekurensi Ranula
