3. Process 1
• In the first project I decided to take a different sort of approach to the
project than I first thought I almost ended up completely changing this
project due to a fascination in anime this character is Hei from darker than
black and he ended up on my first project, so first I found a similar image
to the second picture the first was for reference, the second picture is the
result of tracing and changing shadows and tones, I also changed the
opacity of the piece to make it look interweaved and it did what I wanted
it to which was to add a messiness to the hair and also to make the cracks
look much more brutal when it came to the mask and also you might
notice that the lightning pattern changed in colour half way I thought this
would make it look much more interesting than just having a solid block of
colour then when I had finished in the tracing of the work then I added it
to Redbubble which puts your designs on products and there are two
examples in picture three and four however I believe it could have been
better if I had not kept the black parts such as the coat and thermal layer
so then you couldn’t tell where the shirt and design clash however as you
can see the boarder of the image clashes with the colour of the shirt.
8. Process 2
• For my second project I stayed true to what I was originally going to try
however I did end up changing the game I was going to do it for I ended up
doing a borderlands 2 game edit of a poster so I found the 7th picture
which is actually from a gameplay and I first enlarged the image with the
edit image size option in Photoshop then I cropped it down so very little of
the original picture was left (the corners were mainly cut out) and then I
ended up using the clone tool to eliminate any of the remaining parts that
were left from the heads up display, then I used different layers to add in
the silhouettes of the animals which I then used the transform tool to
enlarge or make the image smaller (The silhouettes were made by tracing
the animals and colouring them in black) then I found a png online of the
borderlands title and had a new layer for that and in the background I had
decided to add some clouds in and there was a new layer for each of
those. However I think it could have been better if I had a silhouette
background as well to make it either creepy or at least follow the suit of
the rest of the piece, so I ended up feeling bad about it towards the end of
this project.
13. Process 3
• For my third project I completely changed my idea to a trailer for an anime. I originally was going to
make a game which had ties to Dark souls and Skyrim however I couldn’t think of any good ideas to
start it and so I decided to start the a different sort of trailer for the anime full metal alchemist:
Brotherhood .
• as you can see the 1st 2nd and 5th picture is about converting the YouTube videos via flvto I first
found the video clips to make the backbone of the trailer a ( the actual animation) and then found
the music I would use ( In the end I found the old piracy warning ad music) then to finish off the
project I found the sound effects such as gun shots explosions electricity and fire.
• Then I took the animated videos (MP4), I dragged and dropped them into Premier and cut out the
pieces that I didn’t need and mixed and matched the pieces together so it looked alright and I only
used the animation and none of the music or background noise.
• Then I had to find a piece of music to fit the background I had 2 choices one of which was fortunate
son by creedance clear water revival which I thought it fit pretty well but I decided to go with one
that would fit the time period over the animation and then in the background I added the sound
effects where necessary .
• However with a bit more time I believe I could have made a trailer for the anime which should have
spanned at least 3 minutes and I also believe that I could have tidied it up a we bit more as well
when it came to the final complete project but I still enjoyed it and it kept my attention all the way
through.
