2. Equilibrium – Alan and Ellie get
invited to the park, they go on
a tour around the park with a
lawyer and another doctor.
Everything is normal
Disruption – Nedry makes a deal with
another company to betray Jurassic
park. When completing his side of the
deal he turns off all the gates around
the park which unknowingly puts
everyones lives at risk, as they stop right
outside the T-rex paddock
Recognition – The main cast recognise the
disruption when the T – Rex escapes and eats
the lawyer. This causes everyone to split up
and run in different directions. Finding each
other is the main part of the film.
Attempt to repair the damage -
They decide the only way top call
for help is turning the power off
and rebooting it.
New Equilibrium – They succeed in
their plan and call for help and John
Hammond doesn’t go through with
opening the park.

8. Mind Map:
Doomsday Cult
Zombie Film
Set in a remote
location to
highlight the
isolation the
character feels
Starting in a
house/abandoned
place, going to a
forest, ending in a
run down city
The main character
has nothing apart
from the clothes on
their back
Maybe finds or creates
some sort of weapon
Zombies are slow but
persistent so when you come
across one you must kill it or it
just follows you
The cult believe the
doomsday gods spared them
from the apocalypse so they
have to sacrifice people to
the zombies to please the
gods
Most cult members
would just accept the
sacrifice but the main
character of the story
only came into the
cult for refuge against
the zombies and for
shelter and food
Somewhere
that’s difficult to
navigate and
easy to end up
going around in
circles
Could meet
someone on
their journey
that gives
them food or a
weapon
9. Mood board:
Color scheme –
Autumn/winter colors
Cult symbols
An eerie forest for
the location
Abandoned
forest house
11. Existing Product
There are very limited colors in the
film posters, they are dark and
gloomy which could represent the
overall feeling of the film.
This poster is
significant
because it
shows how
insignificant
they are
compared to
the forest.
This poster makes people more
on edge because they are
looking for some sort of figure
among the trees. Even if the
forest brings upon some sort of
feelings of isolation, you still will
never feel alone.
12. Existing Product
The whole photo is tinted
yellow/gold. This creates a false
feeling of warmth and comfort
To highlight the main character,
the editors have centered her.
The fact that she is above
everyone else and larger,
suggests ger power.
The use of the
title being
spread in blood
is clever
because it
foreshadows
the bloodshed
that’s about to
come.
13. Existing Product
Minecraft is another more
complicated pixel style game
that includes zombies and
different types of mobs that you
have to fight on your adventure.
The lighting is basic as it is on a constant cycle of
day and night so it is light and dark. Some big
objects give shadows in the direction on the sun
too.
The skin you start with is either a
basic man or a woman but you have
to go out of your way to change that.
It makes people want to play it as it appeals to all
audiences.
14. Existing Product
Plants Vs. Zombies
Plants vs Zombies is a simple mobile
game that’s got a very simple objective,
kill the zombies.
The main color used is green, this is
because the game is set in a front
garden and is all about plants
The style of the game is very
simple, so even though zombies
are a horror character, it makes
the game more enjoyable for
younger audiences as they are
not scary.
15. Research Summary
What have you learned from your research?
The colours are really important to set a mood for your audience.
What aspects of the research will you include within your on work?
Make it more simple because it might be more effective.
19. Magazine and advert layouts
In zombie films/shows, the advertisements
always seem to show them being dirty and
looking scared or lost.
Magazine has the same title as the show.
22. Sound Effects
Sound Effect Needed How I Will Create the Sound
Mouse clicking Recording my mouse click
Footsteps Recording walking
Zombie noise Someone imitating Zombie
23. Actors/Locations
Actor Role Location for recording
My sister The main character in
the game/survivalist.
Outside in the woods.
(Due to COVID I could only
use one actress)
24. Contingency
What can go wrong? What can you do if it does?
My sister can’t take photos I wait for another day
Photoshop stops working I google how to fix it and try and fix it myself
25. Risk Assessment
What could be a risk to you, others or the
equipment?
How can you make sure that doesn’t happen?
What will you do if it does?
I spill water on my computer and electrocute
myself
Always keep the lid/ bottle cap on
I drop and break my camera Always wear the neck strap
It rains and I damage the camera Stay inside when it rains
It rains and my actress gets a cold Stay inside when it rains
27. Using your plans, produce:
• A synopsis for your film
• A video game that would support your film, to include a menu
screen, demo level and cut scene
• Sound track for the video game
• A magazine front cover, promoting the film
• Additional advertising to promote the film
Include synopsis, magazine cover and advertising in this pro forma.
Animation to be embedded in your blog.
29. Research
The research affected the work I ended up doing because I saw some things io liked
(like different movie posters) that changed how I wanted my magazine to look.
I think I could have done more research, but I like how everything I did turned out as it
is.
30. Planning
I think my planning really helped as I had some sort of structure whilst making my video
game.
However, when I was creating the video game itself, I did tend to go off plan when I
thought of a new idea, but I liked how everything turned out.
31. Time Management
Personally, I don’t think I managed my time well. I was very unorganized, but I still
managed to get everything done that needed to be done.
One of my overall weaknesses is time management. I do all the work, but I find it
difficult to work with no structure.
I don’t think my products would have improved with additional time because I took my
time with everything and created something to the best of my abilities.
32. Technical Qualities
o I worked very hard on my animations and I think it payed off. However, I think I spent more time
designing backgrounds than animating. I think the animations could be improved with more
dedication towards them but I just enjoyed creating the backgrounds and doing the drawings more
than the actual animating itself.
33. Aesthetic Qualities
I think my work is aesthetically pleasing. I spent more effort on the aesthetic qualities of my work
than the functionality of it which was probably my biggest downfall.
However I stuck to the same theme throughout and the same style of pixel art and I think it looked
good.
34. Aural Qualities
The audio sounds good on mine as I made my own music and I tried to make the music fit the tones of
the game. I also recorded my own sound effects apart from the gunshot as I didn’t know how to make
that sound realistic.
I could maybe have done more music to get more of a variety
35. Audience Appeal
I definitely think I have appealed to my target audience (which is younger teens of any gender) because I
made a game that was not too scary but it still had elements of horror which is exciting to teenagers.
I used a female character as the main character and I think it was a good idea because ethne it can appeal
to females too, which games like this usually don’t.
36. Overall strengths and weaknesses of the final
package.
I think the overall package was very good. However, I think I need to spend more time on animating next
time and maybe priorities a smoother looking animation over an aesthetically pleasing background.
