3. Colour Scheme 1
What attracted me to this colour scheme was the contrast between the dark of the
navy, royal blue and purple and the brightness of the yellow. I think, like my idea of
the black and white background with one colour, this could create an impact. All of
the colours forthwith are to me, a positive type of colour and would give provoke
from my audience feelings of happiness, something that would link in with the
comical effect of my chosen music song and music video. My only problem would
be that none of the colours that have come together to create my scheme are of a
romantic nature and this is a fundamental theme of my music video and song. This
makes me worry as it makes me question whether or not the audience would miss
the point of my music video and song through its album cover.
4. Colour Scheme 2
I picked this particular font primarily because I think the shades of pink amongst
the brightness of the green contrast well and link in well to the theme of romance
and comedy. The pink to me, is symbolic of fun and being flirty, something that in
consideration of the songs and music video’s meaning, links well in together and
gives my audience a whole, general idea. However, my only problem would be that
with the pink, it could look too feminine and in relation to the target audience (that
being primarily teenage/young adult boys) would not work well. However, the green
is there to counteract the overwhelming feminine aspect and thus, it could pull off.
5. Colour Scheme 3
This is my second favourite colour scheme (after scheme 2) because I like the
whole roundedness of all the colours. The mixture of all the bright, happy
colours evokes such feelings onto the audience, whilst each colour also
symbolically represents its own feelings. (For example, red promotes love, whilst
the green links in with the male aspect I want to achieve with the target
audience). This colour scheme seems to work well for everybody, and each
colour in its own right has enough personality to work well amongst the others
on my album cover. However, on reflection, I feel the colour scheme could
become too much with each colour and they have the danger of clashing onto
something so small such as my album cover. Because of this, I would have to
make sure some colours have more areas covered than others, using only
some small colours sparsely.
